Got my mufflex today. It wasn't very easy to install having a limited supply of tools and not being a small person but got it done. Also got my steering box stabilizer and had my suspension shop throw it on. Steering is definitely tighter and hopefully will keep my steering box good with these 37's.

With Gov. Moonbeam and his Ecarb....I wonder if those are smog legal in Taxifornia aka Mexifornia.

You realize a muffler has no effect whatsover on emmissions right?

In Taxifornia They find ways to Outlaw everything. And yes I do, know that. But they are trying to out law lawn mowers.:flipthebird: In Los Angeles County they can no longer sell Gas Weed Trimmers.

This muffler better be legal, I live in California. I haven't read anything about it not being so. Usually parts have a warning that states it's not legal in certain states or has the 49 state legal. I didn't see anything about that though.

Here is the link

2009-2013 Dodge Ram 4x4 Steering Stabilizer Bar Kit - Hell Bent Steel

The sound is exactly what I was looking for. Nice deep rumble that isn't loud or annoying. You can hear it when you are at low rpms or above 2500 rpms. Very happy with it. Also very happy with my stabilizer bar!

Keep us updated if you gain or lose any mileage. There is one person on the power wagon registry that has it and lost 1 to 2 mpg's, another person gained that much, so it would be nice to know which way your truck goes if it changes at all.

I didn't really notice any change, maybe 1mpg gain and I have Magnaflows full catback. You won't lose any mpg from it, if you do it's because you're getting on the gas more.

I think most who say they lost mpg is primarily due to a heavy foot so they can enjoy the sound of the new exhaust

The only time I get some and it's not very much, is in low rpm. Cruising around 1500 rpm you can hear it.

Guys, dont listen to all these 3:73 haters;) I've had my share of diesels, and the issues that come with the emissions, so the 6.4 was a easy choice for me. I struggled with the 3:73, 4:10 choice. I drove both several times on the same roads to "feel the difference" between the two. On the few flat stretches of the road, the MDS kicked on and off about the same time between the two. I think the 3:73 MDS is programed differently than the 4:10 gears, making the "4:10s will allow the MDS to kick in more offten", a mute point. I chose a 3500 SRW CC Tradesmen. No plan on changing tire size or exhaust. Just keeping it stock.

I tow everything from my mowing trailer to my 11k 38'tt, to a 12k mini. I live in upstate NY, not in the mountains, but no where near flat either. I average 13 around town, and 18 highway, hand calculated. Towing 12k 7-8 mpg's. 17k miles on the clock with no regrets.
This things a towing beast. Tows 12k up these hills easily. I realize im close to my max towing, but at my age, my next TT will be smaller, and the amount of heavy towing will decrease over the next few yrs.

Friend of mine pick up the same truck as mine, but with 4:10's. His milage is worse that mine, but he only has 3k on it. Also think he may has a case of "hemi foot" lol.

Bottom line, 3:73's are very capable. Dont be afraid of them. Yes I agree if you plan on towing heavy often get the 4:10's. But if 90% is DD, the 3:73 may be the best choice...

I have the 4.10s but I am having my suspension shop install 5.5"BDS 4link lift and 37 toyos, so that basically turns my 4.10s into 3.73 or maybe little lower. And since Im only going to towing a 50,000lb ghost trailer, I made sure I would be ok with 3.73s. so im certainly not afraid of them. :)

I would love to hear it with some weight hitched up. Nobody ever does it, and that's what these trucks are made for.

Hate to burst your bubble but I have nothing too tow. The reason I got the HD is because of the straight axle. I knew I wanted to lift this truck and I really didn't want to mess with the IFS and the weaker parts of the 1500. It was good because the HD was barely more expensive. So here I am with a 2500. I originally wanted a diesel but couldn't justify the premium for me just wanting one. However my plan in about 4 years after I buy a home is to get a travel trailer and get the diesel.

ye what I said may not be useful for YOU, but it is useful for those who understand the physics involved in large tires and gear ratios.
