I decided to build up the corner of the bed to match my 4th gen tailgate. Any ideas of something to finish coat it that will help strengthen up the corner? f1563d2c6b927f29901de35a73d3923c.jpg

Y'know, with nice wheels you might WANT caps that cover the lugs. Besides, how often do you TRULY take off or have to take off the wheels, am I right?

Only way to really strengthen the corner would have been to make that out of metal, otherwise you're pretty much doing it, ive thought about doing the 4th gen gate but im gona modify the corner of the tailgate to match the bedside.

This guy did good bodywork doing but did a terribe paint job

Did he just tap down the tailgate lip? Or something more serious? Only reason I didn’t do that was trying to avoid painting the tailgate also

I'm wondering if I could put a coat of fiberglass rosin overtop of the Rage Gold on that edge just to give it a hard surface.

the filler should harden up to be solid, just as long as the surface you applied it to was sanded properly will be all you need

Lied about getting my headlights on. After I pulled the second one out it had a paper telling me about checking them to make sure that they were sealed up and if not to run some sealer over LOL, so of corse it looked like probably some 5 yr old was in charge of sealing the lenses

I have been thinking about ine of those, let me know when you get it, im curious about the quality of the paint

Reviews/comments I read before buying was that it wasn't an exact match but pretty close. I'm good with that because I am hoping to have the truck repainted/touched up later this year, along with installing a cowl hood. If the bumper is noticeably off, I'll have them paint that as well. Besides, it's straighter than my current one!

Finally got around to putting my wheels on...

Wheels poke out just over an inch all the way around, perfect stance for stock height i think
That looks good. I like the caps. Seems tough.

What are your wheel and tire stats? Offset, wheel width, tire size? Does it look small and funky in the wheel well? (can't fully tell from the angle)

Trying to decide what size I want when I get new tires. I wanna get some sporty treads, but none are made in the stock 275/60r20 size, and I'm worried a shorter tire will look goofy even with the rear shackled as I intend to go.

Yeah my rear bumper is far from straight lol, and my body guy calls my truck 50 shades of red since it has so many reds on it lol, so whats one more, like you said, a full respray is in this trucks future

Tires are a 265/50/20

Rim is a 20x9 with a +1 offset

I was suprised it doesnt look small, and id have gone with a different size had i not got the deal on these i did, naturally ill get bigger tires when i get my lift but in the mean time these new tires ride so damn smooth its unreal for being load range E

This was my truck pre-2/4 drop (had drop shackles in the rear tho) with the stock rims and 305/50/20 Toyo Proxes STII tires, same that I run now. They are 32" tall, pretty close to the 275/60/20s which are 33". You really won't be able to tell much of a difference in height just looking at it like this.
