Since I have to keep track of mileage on my DD for work, I use an app on my phone. It gives you EVERYTHING you'd ever want to know including the CO put into the atmosphere. It backs up to my dropbox and I can export it into an excel format. The IRS loves me now! lol

2013, quad cab lariat, 4x4, 355 gears, mostly mixed city / rural roads, 89 octane, 1700 miles.

Average 15.2 via computer so far. I'm very happy with that. My last couple Chevy 5.3 liter AFM trucks same drive averaged just a touch less mpg. with a whole bunch less HP.

2013 RC/SB 4x4 Express with 3.55 gearing. 1800 miles currently.

My first fill was 17.96 MPG.
Second was 18.09 MPG.
Third was 17.29 MPG (light towing).
Fourth was 18.31 MPG.

Rural area, 87 Octane, 35 miles a day round trip. 58MPH is cruise speed. 2 traffic lights and a couple of stop signs.

I get on it (WOT) daily, here and there. 98% of the time I drive casually.

love the V6 my old 5.9l v8 4x4 ram 1500 only averaged 12mpg!

That doesn't sound very good mine has almost the same miles I have been pulling trailers (light weight and or empty) still a few thousand pounds and my average since I bought it is 13.5. And I must admit I have been hotrodding around more than I probably should

Ya. I don't understand how mine is so bad either. Could it be a lemon? I have not been pulling trailers. Is yours a quad cab? Are you driving in the city as much as me?

Some have said that it will get better once I get to around 1500 miles or more.

Ouch, but short trips, lots of stop and go, and never letting the drive train get to operating temps will hurt fuel economy tremendously.

That is true however they do a pretty god job of geting them up to Normal Operating temps nowadays

Mine is both city and highway and in reality the majority are probably highway in the grand scheme

Heading out on a 1300 mile road trip this weekend unfortunately with an enclosed trailer so that shouldn't help any at all

well, 1.5 weeks in and almost 500 miles on the odometer. hemi, 3.92 gears i'm driving a mix of 60% city/40% highway and getting about 16.2 right now..and I guess she is still 'breaking in'


that's a bit of improvement over my 07 ram 1500, hemi w/3.92 which seemed to stay stuck @ 13.3

It'll say 3.21, 3.55, or 3.92.

Typically I get about 14-15 city and 18-21 on the highway. Not too bad seeing as I went from a Nissan Frontier CC with the 4.0V6 and it got 15-16 city and 21-22 on the highway. I'm very pleased with the mileage this truck gets considering its a bigger truck and a bigger, higher horsepower engine.

Can't copy and paste since I'm on my phone so here's all the details I can remember.

2013 with Dueler A/T Revo 2 tires on stock 20" chrome clad rims, QC Hemi with the 6 speed, 3:21's, mostly hilly and some flat, 21 mph head wind. Electronics said 18.8, on paper was 19.3; 90% highway and 10% city, highway speeds of 60-67mph. Tires were at 42 psi. Temp 55 degrees.

The BIGGEST factor for mileage is wind. I've gotten 21mph when it was calm at 67 mph. Temps were 70ish.

Also wanted to add, it's nice that the electronics are very accurate or seem to error on the worse side of the equation for the mileage calculation. Not sure about the rest of y'all but my '06 would always calculate 2 mpg's better than what I was actually getting.
