My Nused (new to me) 1500 2020 with a Hemi (non etourqe) and I have the short bed, full 4-door cab, 275/55/R20 factory tires. My truck has approx 33k miles, I get approximately 21 mpg on the highway using cruise 70-72 mph. Around town/errands 18-19 mpg. I drive very carefully (slow per the wife) coast a lot, and slowly accelerate, I use top-tier fuel as much as possible. I would guess as you complete the break-in process your mileage will improve.

I have the same 2022 Laramie, 5.7 etorque. 392. Based on your driving millage you are going to get around town is 14.5 to 15.5 MPG driving like an old man (me) using ECON. Best I got in freewqay is 17MPG driving 70-75MPH. 91 octane improved MPG by .5, no improvement with 88 non-ethonal about 15MPG. have a lead foot 10-11mpg. Just remember it is a v8 truck. I bought mine because of my age and having trouble getting in and out of my Acura TLX 41.5mpg. I should have got 321 but choice was not available.

Yep, all the Limited trucks at our dealer had 3.92s - no choice. I didn’t figure it would make any difference around town but figured it would on the highway. Thought it was suspicious all the Hemi trucks had the same sticker mileage ratings regardless of 3.21, 3.55, or 3.92. Just curious if EPA just tests one powertrain combo and slaps the result on all of them regardless of rear end or body/chassis config. Some aren‘t able to recognize tongue in cheek questions I guess.

I get 15 around town and 20-22 on the highway. That’s a couple miles over the speed limit. I have 10000 miles and it has been improving since I bought it with 100 miles on it. I was about 13 around town when I bought it…

Mine is the 3.21 rear and no etorque.

somewhat compete with my brother-in-laws with their GMC and Chevy pickup fuel mileage bragging.
If you were looking for something to stomp on your BIL fuel mileage, should have bought an EcoDiesel. Multiple owners report approximate 30 mpg and pushing close to 1000 miles on a single tank.

my 2016 eco-diesel still gives me 22 - 23 MPG at Cross Country Highway at 70 - 75 MPH driving, using Cruise Control.

You are going to be disappointed with your Gasoline mileage, from now to May.
You will be driving using Winter Blend gasoline
terrible mileage & lousy power
:(

For some made up reason, California drivers that have Gasoline powered vehicles, will not change over change over until October.
As you may have heard, Gasoline users in California are paying $6.00 USD a Gallon
Some #2 Diesel stations are charging more than that

Mine took a few thousand miles to break in and fuel mileage improved.

I fled Kalifornia in 1978. Still no reason to go back.

If your going to let your brother in laws bragging ( Please re read post #3 ) run your life, just buy what they buy. I bought my Ram to WORK. Fuel economy was not a factor. I get 12 driving around, and between 8 and 9 towing the camper. Not ashamed and not afraid of it. When I get in and go, it goes! Drives well, looks Great! Get's it Done. I'll eat chevy's and cr*p gmc's all day long. ;)
Brother-in-law bragging lol…mine thinks he’s cool with his 220,000 mile 2015 f250 that rolls coal and still owes like 30 grand on. I have a hemi classic that is nice for me and work hard for. When he wants to start talking all I remind myself of is him moving into my in laws basement for the second time in a year at the age of 33 because of poor financial decisions. And he gets handed more a month than I (‘100% disabled’ can do everything except work and not put his family through hell.

Never.

I'm mostly highway, @ 57k miles, and my trucks hand calculated lifetime mpg is in the mid 15's. Even if you toss out the few thousand miles of towing it still does not break into the mid 16's. Have I had better tanks, yes.. but they are very few and far between. One trip to work I'll get 17-18 mpg, the next day I'll get 14mpg.. same driver, same weather, same tank of fuel, same everything..

Ha Ha. Good luck with that. My 2021 has 38,000 miles now and i drive like a blue haired old lady trying to get better milage. I finally gave up. Best i have ever done is 14hwy and 11.5 city. these trucks are heavy and hemis suck the fuel.

I’ve never had a problem, in any brand vehicle I’ve owned, getting close to the advertised mpg. I’ve one from every brand I think haha. For rams though I had an 17 1500 4x4 with Hemi and 3.21 gear and got 20+ avg very consistently with mixed driving. I put oversized AT tires on and it dropped to 17mpg. My 18 2500 6.4 with 3.73 got 16 to 17 very consistently. My current 20 2500 6.4 with 4.10 gets 15 mpg. I use cruise control a lot and do 10 over the limit EVERYWHERE.

I've got a 2021 hemi etorque and got 18mpg pulling a trailer. In my former same size Tundra, it would have been 13mpg. I'm happy with the results.

Yeah that’s what they say. I do about 40k a year and that gas money is coming out of my pocket directly so you better believe I know what kind of mileage my vehicles are getting and yes it does matter. I’m not surprised most of you don’t get decent mileage with all brake tapping and inconsistent speeds you’re doing.

One caveat I forgot to mention is I live in a pretty rural place with very stop lights and not much congestion.

At around 20K and I got 21.7 combined on a 1,700 mile trip. Probably 150 miles of that were in town with lots of stop/go. I have a somewhat heavy foot. 2022 Laramie 1500 w/5.7 Hemi & eTorque. I'm very happy it. Finding the right gas seems to make a difference for me.

Not ultimately - I would have stayed with my Toyota SUV in that case. I would just like to not get hurt too badly and somewhat compete with my brother-in-laws with their GMC and Chevy pickup fuel mileage bragging.
They are lying like a lot of post I've seen on here.lol
