Overall not a tough job just tedious to remove and replace the driver side closest to the firewall.
Plugs are IRIDIUM NGK so use IRIDIUM NGK, good luck finding aftermarket IRIDIUM NGK isn’t happening these days. Also for you old timers don’t put Anti Seize on you plug threads. I torqued the plugs to 13 FT LBS but for the rear you can’t so after you torque a plug get a feel for how much pressure is applied with a 3/8 ratchet and use the same force. Clean the elec connectors on the Coils with CRC Electrical Cleaner. On the end of the coils use dielectric grease AKA bulb grease. I replace mind at 75K miles you can easily get 100K out of these plugs from factory. I won’t change mine again until 200K. Dont use Champion plugs use NGK!!
1) Disconnect battery
2) Pull black cover off
3) Disconnect Sensor cable on the throttle body connected to intake
4) Remove entire intake assembly
5) Remove wire harness clip and heater hose clips so u can move them outta your way (passenger side)
6) Slide red clips back on Coil packs
7) Push black tab in and remove connectors
8) Remove all coil packs
9) Remove each plug
a. USE THE RUBBER HOSE TRICK DON’T USE RUBBER LINED SOCKET
b. USE SWIVEL SOCKET
c. HAVE A MAGNET HANDY just in case
d. USE VARIOUS EXTENSIONS (SOMETIME EASIER TO SLIDE EXTENSION ON THE PLUG THEN CONNECT THE RATCHET)
e. TAKE YOUR TIME SLOW AND STEADY WINS THIS RACE.
10) Replacement is opposite of removal
11) Clean your throttle body while its exposed.
12) Have a beer you just saved a few 100 bucks.
13) 3 hours round trip
