I know several of you have added extra back up lights to your Rams and I'm thinking of doing the same. With a lifted truck and tinted windows, I think it would be a good mod. Increase my vision and warn others that I'm backing up sounds like a win, win. I'm interested in adding a set of LEDs but I see 18w, 24w and 36w LEDs available. Could you guys post pics of your backup lights, how you mounted them and what size/wattage they are?

Wow! I'm surprised how bright those 10w LEDs are.

Most of the ones I'm looking at are 18w, so the light output should be fine.

Any more pics? I'm pretty sure I'm gonna mount a 3 or 4 inch 18w light on each side go the receiver.

Finally finished this project. I purchased two cheap 18 watt LED flood/fog lights off EBay. I made an L shaped bracket from some flat stock and mounted the lights onto the rear of the frame horns using existing holes. The lights are wired into the backup light wire on my 7 pin trailer harness so they come on when I place the truck into reverse gear.

My install is similar to Wandell's, but I added a small rocker switch to the lower left panel dash panel so I can activate my lights when hooking up to my travel trailer. They also come on when I put it in reverse. The lights were about $36 on ebay, no brand name, the box they came in had no print on them at all. Also used a 30 amp relay, which I mounted under the dash instead of mounting it underneath the truck. Used wiring loom on all the wires on the exterior.

The lights had not been adjusted correctly when I took the night shot.
