Doing some research on tires and am looking at Toyo atz p3 and Mickey Thompson deegan 38s. I do not have much experience outside of bfgoodrich ko2s and Goodyear wranglers. Looking for something quietish and good for the road. Especially rain (Florida is always wet). Good wear. And decent for weekend trailing and mud. The deegans are supposed to be the same weight as the Toyos at 65lbs a tire. Toyo 285/75 on an 18 and deegan 305/70 on an 18. If anyone else has any input let me know.

I have Cooper Discoverer AT3s and they're fantastic in the rain. Not the most aggressive AT tire but they still look decent. I have about 18k on them and they have easily 75% tread left

I had those cooper's on a ram also and loved them. I'm running the Goodyear now. Noisier than Cooper. Look better (more aggressive) tho.

In many minds, you can NOT compare a Ko2 to anything Toyo related. Toyo is a far superior tire without a doubt.

Toyo for the win!

The KO2’s are a nice improvement over the previous version, and I don’t have anything negative to say about them other than BGF is very proud of them. I wheeled them while visiting the folks down in Florida (panhandle) and they did great. Hands down about the best looking AT out there but like I said they’re a bit overpriced IMO.

How well do they handle off-road? What about wet road traction? I was leaning towards the deegans since they are technically a lightweight MT but they don’t have a tread life. The Toyo at2s are 60,000 mile tires. I love the look of the deegans too. Very aggressive tire

Quite a few people like the duratracs? I never really looked at those. Any pictures?

They are also 60,000 mile tires. And as for wet traction and off road? Excellent in my humble opinion.

What about the falken wildpeaks? They are like the duratracs, kind of a hybrid between at/mt. They are VERY reasonable compared to duratrac, toyo, and bfg. I got mine stock size for under 700 installed. Barely louder than the stock goodyears.

X2 on the Falken Wildpeak A/T3s. I have them on my truck and they handle the rain just like dry pavement. Couple weeks ago we had a pretty big storm come through and there was about 1" of running water on the road outside of work. I goosed it leaving the parking lot, hoping to swing the back around and fish tail, but these tires were having none of that and just gripped like there was no water. I was very impressed. Haven't had them in the snow yet, but they have the snowflake symbol on them, so I'm sure they'll be fine.

i've been a Duratrac fan for my Rams and Wranglers, but I have to say that I'm pretty happy with the Toyo Open Country A/Ts that came with my '17 Rebel. I can't speak to the wear yet, but the wet traction is good.

Just bought '15 Laramie 5.7 Hemi. Live in Salt Lake City: Snow is on the way. What's the best All Terrain for snow?

IMO BFG KO2s, those suckers flat go through snow.

Bad thing with Duratracs is the 2ply sidewalls.

I’ve had 2 sets of toyo a/t 2 extremes and they are by far the worst tires in the rain that I’ve ever had, I’ve read a lot of good reviews on the Cooper at3’s so I just bought a set of them to try for the winter and so far they’re far better in the rain, and quite a bit quieter.

I’m leaning towards the deegan 38 hybrid now. They look way nice. Only problem is the 2 ply sidewall. still lt rated though.
