Wow.. Thats a douchy reply. Didnt realize you were there to determine his rate of speed?

OP, glad youre okay. I had a similar accident years ago in my 98 explorer and my bags went off. Yours should have as well.

So now you know.

Well great news! They are going to cover it! Going to (hopefully) have it towed to the shop tomorrow. And 2 -3 weeks, i'll have her back!

The estimate was for about $3600. But it will be more than that.

Oh thats great news OP! Congrats on getting the truck back sooner rather then never. You getting a rental that entire time or is that another battle?

Still, great news and keep us posted.

Well $500 is still a lot of money to have to spend. Too bad you do not have the rental though, would have made life easier.

Make sure you go over the truck carefully before taking it back.
Open the hood and inspect all the brackets behind the grill and go underneath and make sure all the clips and bolts are installed right.
Make sure the hood opens and closes properly.
Check all the body gaps between the affected panels and the paint quality.
Look at the truck from all angles to make sure the paint match is correct.
Make sure all the lights work, and then check the headlight alignment/aim.
Take a few pics from all different angles in case you miss something you may have a pic of it to show it didn't happen after you left.
Bring someone with you that can help inspect the truck with you.
Much easier to get something straightened out BEFORE you authorize their check from the insurance company.
Good luck, man.

Good luck. Sucks that $500 could go to upgrades but at least you aren't hurt and will have a vehicle soon. Good luck with everything.

the five hundred deductible isnt bad because you probably pay a little less insurance since you are willing to take a greater hit than 200 or 250. im glad that truck will be fixed and itll be looking nice again soon!

$500 is better than not being covered at all

I will use this opportunity to get a 2500 which I've really wanted. We will see what happens though.
