Burning electrical smell out of vents and A/C blowing hot air.

I have a 2012 ram 1500 5.7l with roughly 92k miles. My ac was running perfectly in the morning on the way to work. Later that night when I got in the truck to go home, I noticed a heavy burnt electrical smell in the cab before I even started the truck. And when I turned it on, the smell got worse (coming through the vents) and it wasn’t blowing cold ac. If anyone has had this issue or can point me in the right direction of what may be causing this would be greatly appreciated.
