cut-out exhaust

I'm trying to get a electric cut out exhaust and I'm not sure where the best place to place the y pipe for better sound. I originally was going to put them where my catalytic converters were but wanted some other peoples advice on where they have theirs placed. If you have a video or pictures of where it is that is welcome to be posted here.

Do you have a dual exhaust set up? are you getting 2 cutouts or just one?

I have a single out exhaust. but two cats.

It would be easier, and probably cheaper just to buy a 4x4 truck.

Youd have to find the full axle and all that off a truck and then put it in.. its probably pretty difficult haha theres alot that has to go into it

Id recommend buying 1 cutout and putting it as close to the y pipe as possible. that way you dont need to spend the extra to buy 2 of them.

but if you want 2 of them you would want to put them after that cats as close as you can get i believe

To the OP if you want to keep from throwing a CEL then put a single cut out after the cats right behind the Y. If you want to do before or ditch the cats your gonna toss a CEL unless you get lucky and Mil Elems work for you, otherwise your gonna need a DS tuner and a CMR tune to "fool" the o2's.
