I had my roof wrapped in Gloss black and I am pretty happy with it. Hard to take pics of roof so this is the best I have.

Yes my windshield is tinted 50% with a 5% strip across the top. The black roof actually makes it look darker.

I have had 2 tint tickets in 2 years in this truck. One of them was 15 minutes after I left the place that wrapped my roof

I paid $180. Your paying for the labor. Took them 3 hours but I was ok with that. Not something I wanted to rush

the old saying applies here, it's your truck so have at it. Me, I am the number 1 fan of hating the latest craze ie dipping. Painting is fine, wrapping is acceptable.
