I have a short road trip scheduled in the AM that will require a fill-up so a more thorough opinion on performance coming soon from my end, even if it's just a SOTP assesment.

Also is this a 15hp bump or 30hp, read 2 different numbers.

Not really sure thats confusing. In their own video they say 10-15. Then on their site they say 15 and also 30. So no idea.

Just got back from a lengthy & very fun test drive. Filled up w/ a tank of 93 & gave 6 & 8 a go... I will NOT be returning the Edge Pulsar. VERY noticeable improvement, I'd say 30 at the crank & 15 at the rear is realistic. You know the product delivers as promised when you love level 8 but decide 6 is the best for daily driving. Found myself on & off of the gas at 8 to keep from speeding, it just wants to go & pulls hard. Not sure if shift points are effected but the 8spd always felt in the right gear, no excessive shifting. LOVE the throttle response at 8, very fun.... but 6 is a bit milder & will likely yield better MPG while still being a very noticeable improvement over stock. Knowing custom tuning capability is coming is cool but honestly, the product as is, more than exceeds my expectations & needs. Well done Edge & thanks to GotExhaust for the discount & fast shipping, I am a very satisfied customer.

I have had mine for a couple weeks now. It stays in the number 8 position. I would keep it in 10 of it had one! It would be hard to live without, now that I have it. It's worth a lot not having MDS.

Agreed, disabling MDS was a big factor in my decision to buy... yeah I know you can manually do so but having it perm off is convenient. The performance gain & fun factor are the icing on the cake. I would not want to be without it now that I've tried it. On the interstate 8 might be my preference but I live very rural, middle of national forest.... not the kind of roads where you open it up on a regular basis, 6 feels just right for around here. 8 is damn sure fun though & I wouldn't turn down a level 10, lol.

Regarding the hp gains. It is about 15hp average across the power curve and 30 hp at its peak hp gain.

Really 30hp at peak. thats really good for a none custom tuned programmer.

Yes thats what is claimed. I agree that is impressive. honestly on a naturally aspirated engine 30hp from just a canned tune is huge, even 15hp across the power band is pretty good

I am glad I happened to see a post about the Pulsar and pulled the trigger. I was waiting for the new BT Pedal Commander to become available, but after seeing the added features of the Pulsar I think I made the right choice.

Do you have to run 91 octane with this to go to level 8? Does it work with 89?

No I think that's what they are saying, 91 or better to go over #6.
My question is does it give you better throttle response on any number like the pedal commander thx

91 or better for level 5 & beyond. As for throttle response, 1 - 2 (pedal feels same), 3 - 4 (pedal is less responsive than stock), 5 - 6 (noticeable increase in pedal sensitivity), 7 - 8 (considerable increase in pedal sensitivity)

So to see any power gains you have to run 91, otherwise you can only turn off MDS or run an economy tune. I am not too impressed with that.

Well buy the owners manual the Hemi calls for 89 octane so I can see them not adding to much power with just 89 fuel and making you go to 91 so its a safer tune fpr the motor.

I run 89 so jumping to 91 is not that much of a jump at the pump anyway. :)

Advancing timing to see gains requires higher octane or the engine will experience knock under load. Not realistic to expect gains from the cheapest fuel at the pump. I am not familiar w/ the nuances of other tuner options but I'm betting none are tuned to produce gains w/ 87 - 89 octane.

I could see where this could improve power through timing and mixture adjustments however, I don't see it reducing torque limitation like a regular programmer. Doesn't sound like a bad compromise though.
