I just roughed mine up with a lil sand paper,a few coats of adheasion promoter and about 5 coats of hi heat temp gloss blk paint..

Looks very nice! I considered doing this myself but in the future I really want to Line-X the rockers and rear bumper so the flat black of the Carven tips would match that nicely.

I personally think the 5" tips look too large. I think the stockers are 3.5" so the 4" gives a bit more without entering the riceresque ballpark.

I half agree. From the back I think they look fantastic. There's easily a 1 inch gap still. From the side it's a little big. See my bottom 2 pictures above for reference.

Carven R series vs Spintech Super Pro Street 9000

Narrowed down my results on my muffler upgrade. Deciding between the Carven R series and the Spintech Super Pro Street 9000. Anyone running either of them and there thoughts. Mostly want the one that's the quietest at idle and cruising but gets very deep and aggressive under acceleration. ( truck is my daily driver) Minimal Drone is a plus. Any input is highly appreciated.

I like Carven but it did Drone for me when I had it but I also deleted resonators. Currently running Black Widow. My buddy runs spintech says he likes it, does sound good at highway speeds.

I got the Spintch 9000 and it sounds really good all around but the drone at highway speed sucks. Idle and cruzing sound deep and mean and when you stand on it, it will bark. I love it. My mom even said she loves the way it sounds:happy107:

Just installed a progressive series and love it. No drone on the highway and has that perfect note around town and when you step on it. Here's a link to the video.

Spintech Muffler

Anyone running the Spintech Super Pro street 9000 muffler? (Si/do) And wouldn't mind sharing there thoughts. Also did you go with the aluminized steel or the stainless steel? Thinking of running it on my daily driver. So I don't know if I should also get the resonators deleted or just swap the muffler? Thanks

I have it - and it's awesome with the Hemi. Very aggressive and a great tone overall.

I went aluminized - didn't need the extra rust prevention of stainless.

I went with the stainless 9000 and love it. Took a few weeks to break in but the overall tone is deep and aggressive not obnoxious at all. No raspy or crackling at all. But I do have drone while cruzing on the highway. Overall I really really like it.

Which muffler size (r or tr) do you guys recommend for a daily driver? Currently have a 14 QC (stock) Looking for the loudest I can get but mainly concerned with the drone. Many members have mentioned that the drone isn't bad on QC. Is that true? Any advice is greatly appreciated
I have the Competitor series on my QC , I have no droan issues as far as I'm concerned , maybe super light droan ? I don't hear it anymore , i had some light droan initially , but now that it's broken in with several thousand miles the droan is just not there and the Competitor series is fairly loud ...especially when you get on it

Hope this helps !

Not sure if you've seen this or not , but this is a link to my Carven Competitor series a while back .

I've got a carven progressive that I just bought and wasn't able to install due to the previous owner putting a Mopar catback on if you're interested in picking up a new one and saving a few bucks.
