I see you have the super 44....could you really tell a deeper sound with the 5" tips?
Yep, as soon as I cranked it after putting them on. Wasn't expecting it at all. Walked around the back and idle tone was deeper. On the highway wide open the sound is different too. In a good way.

I put the Moes 5" tips on my truck, and at first i didn't think it sounded that much different, but i hear it more now while driving and outside with the truck just idling it sounds better and is a lower tone

The carvens look nice. I've been thinking about putting some new tips on too. This thread may have just helped me decide what to buy.

Stock are 4", my dynomax came with 4" and hated them. Went with double walled 5" SS tips off ebay on my dynomax ultra SS kit. When u fab them yourself you can push the tip as close to the bumper as you want. I'm like 1/4" for a tighter fit. The 5" double walled slant tip made the exhaust deeper as well.

I don't think the stocks are 4". They seem smaller than that to me. 3" or 3.5" maybe.

Sorry man, they are 4". I've measured them. Go measure them yourself. They are deceiving bc the bumper cutouts are like 6" and the exhaust tip is 4" OD and the rolled edge goes inward.

No I believe you. I'd always just thought they were smaller. I just ordered a set of the new slash cut 5" black Carvens.

Clamp on. You can change them if you want then... plus getting the pipes in and out of the muffler is much harder when your not trying to bang the huge tip into the bumper openings.

Stock exhaust is 409ss I believe... still rusts. 4" tips wont make the cab louder or quieter, makes the tone out the back of the truck deeper with 5" tips.

Those look awesome. Total bummer man I literally just got my carvens about 2 months ago and they didn't have the slash cut. Those look so much better!

Congrats.
