Found out today that my truck needs new front shocks and I have decided I might as well replace all 4. Dealer wants 210 per shock for OEM. I said forget that LOL I know the Bilsteins are very popular, but what else are you guys running that aren't running Bilsteins?

Went to the dealer today about the squeaking and they said it is coming from the shocks. I also have a tie rod loose too.

Bilsteins ... nothing else

How many miles on the shocks ? They dont go out till around 70-80k most of the time

If you are under that in miles ... its not your shocks IMO

Fix the tie rod first and see if you REALLY need shocks

Only have 46k on them. I thought it was too soon for them to be going bad too. Especially when we bounced the truck while it was not running and there was no noise.

I want to get the tie rod fixed first anyway. They didn't say how bad it was, that it was just "loose". But that kinda scared me as to how bad it may be. I will do that first and see if that fixes the squeak.

what do bilsteins usually run? Just for the regular shocks. I don't need the adjustable ones or anything like that.

Went to Orellys to price check some stuff and ended up ordering a Moog tie rod and Monroe Reflex shocks for the front. Going to put the tie rod on and if the truck still squeaks the shocks will go on.
