One of the best write-ups I've ever seen...fantastic job.
I only see one part you might wanna edit....where you're showing how to slide the red lock back on the plug then say to reach ion with a flathead and pry the plastic tab up to separate them....once you slide the lock back, there's a tab to push down on right behind it that'll lift up the part where you put your flathead. No screwdriver necessary...the release is built in.

Thanks for the great write-up. After reading this a couple more times I tackled my headlights last night, and it was EASY! Despite what seems like quite a few steps just to change bulbs, all went well except 1 plastic clip for the rad cowl- easily replaced. I would NEVER have thought to look in the wheel well housing for the trap door, or found the sliding white clip without this.
Hopefully the PIAAs make a difference.
Thanks!

This is a great DIY thread--does anyone know why the pictures won't load?

This is the kind of thing that should get bumped avery month or so to keep all the links current.:Grenade:

Maybe one of the admin people can reset the page for the pics. I loaded all those pics into this site and I just checked my album and they are still there. Click my name and check my albums. You'll find them under headlight bulb change our something like that.

These pics are loaded on the forum so it can't be an outside source problem.

Did the Silver Star upgrade to mine today, got them in every other vehicle i own,and like them,so the truck got a set too.
I'd like to thank Audio1 for his assistance.
His expertise on removing the headlights made it a very simple/easy job,but one that i wouldn't want to do at -20 in a snowbank that's for sure,it's definitely a warm day job.
Make sure the truck is running if you're doing a light test before re-installing the headlights.
On my 13 the high beams won't come on unless the truck is running, learned that one the hard way we did, lol.
Thanks K for the help
Rick

I've mentioned it twice and they never fixed the problem. The original photos do show the before and after.

Go back to the first post and I think I was able to fix it. There have been new rules imposed on posting since I made this thread so I had to shorten what I wrote down 380 characters and I had to remove a few pics. The most important part that you were looking for is the photos and I left them in.
