Thought I would touch base on my mileage.
The truck turned over 300,000 a couple of days ago. I haven't had any issues in the last 70,000 miles. The truck runs and drives like new.
I have been checking back to see where you're at. Nice to see it's still steaming along! That's impressive!

A 16 with 300K miles. That's some serious mileage. I assume you hotshot for a living. Good publicity for the 6.4 and for RAM heavy duties generally speaking. Get another 300K miles and I'm sure FCA will award you something special! .(at least they should) BTW, what's your motor oil of choice?

Well I'll be damned. A 300K miles Hemi motor within nothing more than a non-FCA spec'd engine oil. If your motor dies before 500K miles, just know that your oil choice is probably the cause. LOL ;)

Before you LOL too much, the motor is not "untouched".

What has been done to it?

As Firebird said I have several posts starting on page 6 of this thread.
The most critical repair was the Cam Shaft Replacement. This was not do to an oil issue.

The cam shaft was defective from the start. All of the lobes looked like a potholed dirt road. The lobes were all pitted and the surfaces were just flaking away. My only concern is all of the metal that fell to the oil pan. In any case, no problems in the last 70,000 miles.

6242 miles. I might add about 4000 miles of that has been towing. Not towing now parked my travel trailer on BLM land by the Arizona border. Ran into town and my MPG has improved guess I'm broke in.

SoCal and Arizona have hundreds of thousands of desert Acres. BLM land will you allow you 2 weeks free but the LTVA will cost you. You need to be self contain as dump stations and fresh water can be hard to find. If you really want freedom and be off grid check out Google for SLAB CITY, California. Not for the faint at heart. Good luck.
