many people do not realize that Catch Cans are not a new thing

Just like vehicles used to have a little clear glass bowl that separated gasoline from water mounted on almost every vehicle.
Before starting your vehicle, you would check your radiator, motor oil & you would look at the glass bowl to see if there was water in the bowl, if there was, you turned the valve at the bottom & let the water out of the bowl.

Some of these same vehicles had an Air/ Oil Separator mounted in the engine compartment

They were mostly used in aircraft, but the design was different, they caught the oil & returned it back into the lower crankcase

Alot of people don't realize the Hellcat uses factory air/oil seperators in the valve covers. They return the oil to the crankcase to. FCA is smart enough to know most people don't even stay on top of the rudimentary maintence issues, let alone having to drain a catch can on a monthly basis
