Good thread, I have 11,500 on mine and can't stand the TransForce. I looked at the GY MT-Rs one size over, and they ran $420 a tire. I don't really want to swap rims yet. I have extra sensors already but not willing to spend the money on the rims and tires at once. Was thinking of just running MT-Rs for the winters up here and then getting a second set of wheels and tires later. I try not to drive the truck in really bad weather. TransForce tires suck up here in the winter. I just take a Cherokee.

Not sure if anyone mentioned it, MUD FLAPS! I wouldn't dare run 12.50 even with flaps. My paint is horrible, it doesn't need help. Flaps first then tire swap. I have Husky molded and I really like them. I didn't know about the weather techs or I would have gotten them.

Thanks for the thread, though, I will re read it when I'm at home. I'm at work playing on the computer.

Have had 2 trucks and my wife's Jeep Wrangler with the DuraTracs. Love these tires. No complaints. Live on a mountain in WV, and they go anywhere, any weather.

My reaserch says toyo MT by far. Many guys with 3/4 tons getting 50,000 miles easy. Some even say 60,000.

Obviously depends on how you drive.

I just ordered my TOYO M/T's. Today!!!

I have the Husky long John mudflaps the 15 inch wide ones. tons of protection.

You are right in my opinion mudflaps are a necessity when going with wider or mud tires in general

My dealer puts Jetzon Trailcutter AT2's on all their used RAM trucks. I've got about 15K on mine (275/70R-18) and so far and I'm very happy. I tow a 30' TT, plow snow and I just spent last weekend driving rough logging roads (~100 miles). In every condition I've experienced the tires perform well. They are not loud but aggressive enough for my needs. Tread wear after 15k seems minimal.

I'd be happy with anything over 30000 miles. I'm eating through my stock Firestone since I'm towing everyday.

Yep I'd be happy with 30000. Part of doing business, but at least I can use tires for a write off at tax time.

LOL, my uncle ran a service station for 40 years. There was a Jetzon clock behind the counter that said, "If you're not riding on Jetzon tires... Slow Down!"

My appointment is at 1:30 to put my Toyo MTs on. The cool part is I'll have a pretty good first impression to give as we're getting snow right now so I'll drive to the tire store with my crappy transforce tires and drive home with the MTs.

Got them on.

285/75/18 toyo MT

On stock 18" steel rims IHave about .25" of clearance to the control arm at full lock. A less agressive sidwall would make more room. I will give a first impressions review in a separate thread.

I wil make a thread just for it and track the tread depth at every5,000 - 10,000 miles or so. A long term kind of review with updates.

Are you getting that 0.25" clearance with the stock psi, or are the low for ride quality?

Right now they are a tad to high. 60 all around. I will mostlikly go to 55 in the front and 45 in the rear and see how the chalk test does then.

I just installed 295/65R18 on the stock rims....have yet to look at any clearance issues, but I think all should be fine with my tires seeing as your tires are taller than mine and they are both almost the same width.

I installed Duratrac's......man do the tires & truck look so much better with a little bit of meat on all four corners!
Looking forward to some winter weather to see how they perform.
