Your reply made me realize that I haven't taken any pictures of the truck in a while.

Soooo this is exactly how it sits: right in front of my house waiting to go to my workout. lol

Went down to the exhaust shop this morning to get that coupler gasket replaced. Dude started trying to get the nuts loose, wouldn't break free and you can't get a torch in there.
Driving down the road I remembered that they aren't studs: they're bolts. D'oh!

So I'm back to square one.

i am pretty sure i did that to the old bolts on the 81. as long as you don't snap the bolts on the manifold that go into the head your all good lol. i have replace all the bolts on my exhaust. still running factory no exhaust manifold gasket

funny enough most of time i can clean bolts good enough so break them free. just usually the heat from the exhaust usually cause the bolts to fail sooner than they should. plus sometimes it is easier to snap a bolt than it is to mess with it. new bolts are only about $0.10 each.

3/8ths I think Crazzy can verify.

Edit; Put a stud back in, don't use a bolt. You use the wrong length bolt and you could crack the manifold.

The thing is, they ARE bolts, not studs. lol

And 3/8ths, cool.

i always use washers. i think the holes are 7/16" so there is a bit of room to play. you should be able to judge size and everything that you need and then walk into the hardware store and get what you need. most likely only going to cost you about $1 in hardware. i swear some days it probably costs me more in gas to get the hardware than the hardware costs me lol

Removed and washed out the overflow bottle. 'twas nasty. Filled it back up with 50/50 green.
