Dbush I do like that set up u have......they see it as strictly an install no fab available so that's my problem of sorts. I'm a head over to depot and see if there is anything close to pics posted pretty drilled.

I think the brackets you have will flex both side to side and for and back at that height with a light bar. It doesn't take very much wiggle to make a light unbearable to use

Mine are made of plate, flat bar, and angle iron. The angle iron works well as it stiffens and supports in all 3 axis. The biggest thing though is to anchor it top and bottom.

No garage and all its been doing out here is rain. Pulling grill to get access is nothing.

Ah. No garage sucks. Maybe have them use the initial brackets for Their install and then use that and a basis to finish on your own if the extra bracing is needed.

You're still thinking behind the grill, yes?

Got my 42" curved lightbar installed this weekend, I love it! I used the same wiring harness that OnSale mentioned above, excellent quality. They're only $13.99 shipped on ebay FYI. Total investment was $78, should've done this a long time ago.

Nice. How is the glare? I'm debating on whether to go with a roof mounted led bar or go oldschool with the lights on a rollbar. It's a tough choice as I like them both looks wise.

It's not as bad as my last truck/bar. I don't know if it's the truck/bar or mounts. I can tell you that the curved bar is much quieter than the straight bars. All I hear is a little extra wind noise, no whistle.

May I ask what lightbar and mounts you went with.

I went through the entire thread pretty quickly and so I might have missed some posts, but has anyone put 2 small lightbars on the bumper inserts?

did you have any issues mounting switches right here? this is where i would like to mount mine? that piece just pops out right?
No issues mounting, you just have to make sure positioning of the hole you cut is correct because of the mechanisms above and below Yeah the panel pops out. It's held in by 4 friction tabs.

I wanted the biggest light bar I could fit in the front bumper and I didn't want to give up on the tow hooks. I installed a 30" rough country led light bar and purchased aftermarket tow hooks off of ebay.
