Well, I do have the dealer do it, I don't trust anyone else with Precious. I have to take a day off to get it done as they take almost all day to finish the job. I figure I lose $400 each day I do that (x10 per year), so real cost is only $4600 per year. I figure a replacement motor is about $5500. So when you assume that you would have to replace the motor every 10k miles, with those extended oil changes destroying the engine internals, I really come out ahead!1000k!?!?? $600 a year for 10 is $6000 that’s very expensive insurance.
