    Just brought her home tonight!
Not the one I expected but she is a real power house!

Many hours of research & thinking have past!
I have chose to run with 1 full year OCI...
Shell (GTL) Rotella T6 5W-40 & 8oz ZDDPlus to boost the Zinc / Phosphorus levels with a Fleetguard Stratapore or RP Filter.

Later I will be adding a single stage oil by-pass unit.

My main concern is only using a CK4 rated Oil!
Don’t run a CK4/SN rated Oil—->This Oil will contain lower levels of ZDDP. (Not a good choice for a hard working Diesel engine.)

Front Differential = Red Line 75W-90
    Transfer Case = Mopar ATF+4
Transmission 68RFE = Mopar ATF+4 —> When the new pan is installed.
    Rearend = (Combo) Red Line 75W-90 / 1Qt 75W-140

These new fluids will be swapped over within a period of miles/time.
    Mostly all done next spring/summer.
I want to get through all the initial (break-in) wear metal period. Mainly between 10-20K miles.
    Then drain all the fluids.

After going back & forth between brands many times over!(In my Head & on Paper). This is a important decision ya know.

    3Gal Rotella T6 5W-40 w/Fleetguard Stratapore filter!
Will be going in my 6.7L for her first OCI & there after.
I will also add 4oz of ZDDPlus to boost the Zinc/Phosphorus levels a bit.

After my first UOA I will determine whether or not I need to adjust the amount of ZDDPlus added.

For those Anal owners who are very selective of the Oil they run:—->Beware of these CK-4/SN oils!!
These will carry the CK-4/SN certification which contain very low levels of Zinc/Phosphorus—(ZDDP).
Not a wise choice for a powerful Diesel engine.

Stick with the oil that carry these 2 certifications ——>CJ-4 (CES20081) CK-4 (CES20086)

Just heard back from Chris: Rotella T6 5W-40 is a (Keeper)!
This product still as good levels of ZDDP! Great news for a hard working HD Diesel Engine.

    Hi Lonnie,

Thanks for reaching out! Our Rotella T6 5W-40 Synthetic (CK-4) (meets MS-10902 and Cummins CES 20081 specs) is highly recommended for your 2017 Ram 2500 with the 6.7 L Cummins diesel engine. It was not given an API SN rating due to its high ZDDP (Zinc around 1200 ppm and phosphorus around 1000ppm), as well as high phos (above 800ppm) is detrimental to catalytic converters of new gasoline engines. We have a separate product that is intended for mixed fleet calling for CK-4/SN and that is the Rotella T6 Multi-Vehicle 5W-30.

    Hope this helps!
