I currently have 265/70 17” tires on my truck. I'm thinking about replacement tires down the road & would like to get some input about a couple of things.

I just had Bilstein 5100's (set to 2.1”) & Mevotech UCA's installed, and the wheel wells are now crying out for larger tires.

I know the 265/70 17 is roughly equal to a 32 x 10.4 x 17 so if I go to a 33' tire on a 20” wheel I'm assuming that will increase my ride by about 2” & fill the wheel wells by about 4”, right?

Some of the other options I've considered are 295/70 or 285/75 17's that will give me tires that are about 33” - but if I stay with the 17's there wont be much of a visual difference from what I'm running now.

What I'm really looking for is to fill some of that excess wheel well opening while maintaining my comfortable ride. I have heard that moving to a 20” wheel size will give me a rougher ride, is that correct? Also, is there a mpg downside? Not a deal breaker, just curious.

I never realized how many different wheel/tire combo choices there were :)

Right now I'm leaning to the BFG KO2 in either the 17 or 20”

I appreciate all comments.

Thanks

Im running 285/70/17, which is 32.7 but tires are $100 cheaper per tire... for me that made it easy than going to a true 33... i cant tell 3\10 of an inch. Ride comfort is same, road noise, not to bad louder than stock
