Rear axel pinion nut recall parts

Excuse me for my ignorance , I'm not a gear head , is that part of a certain pkg ie HD towing , I know I have 3.55:1 amd limited slip but the pumpkin I'm not sure .... Can you please elaborate

All 1500 ' s have the 9.25 rear.

How do you know which have the issue and are eligible for the recall?? I have a 2011 ram 1500.

Is it a certain build date cause really annoyed that I never received a notice and like I mentioned Svc Writer never mentioned it .

I thought it was only the 1500s and 2009 and 2010s.

This has been going on for a year now. Dealerships are even getting frustrated about not getting parts.

My 2011 ram goes in thursday to get rear 4 link bars replaced and then they are fixing the recall on the pinion nut. Only took 1 day for dealer here in Michigan to order parts.

Ok , called dealer , gave my vin # and checked system ..... No recall ?????
I have 2011 Big Horn 4 x 4 ,5.7 , tow pkg & limited slip
I'm guessing not all were effected

Just had mine done. Called them when they opened at 7 am and had a appt. at 1:30 and only took 45 min. tops.

Ok so I called the local dealer and there was no recall for my vin, but there was 4 "flashes" that needed to be done....door unlock enhancement, 2 radio enhancements, and a memory seat enhancement. Have an appointment to get it all done! Thanks for all the info guys!

Guess I need to call mine again. When I have some other recalls done about 2 months. Dealer told me unless your truck is making noise in the rear end dont worry about it.. THANKS..lol

I don't see why anyone would have a hard time fixing the recall...? Yes, I took my truck in to get the rear link bars looked at and they told me there is a recall on the pimion nut and were ordering parts to fix, called me a day later to let me know parts were in and scheduled an appointment.

Has anyone had a noise coming from the rear end at high speeds AFTER the recall? Just noticed it today on the freeway.

Well my dealer in dartmouth novascotia is freakin awsome..There was a recall done before i bought it about the nut(im 2nd owner)..It was taken care of then but today i got the recall for it..
Anyways today i went over to get a new belt cause the damn thing squeels and i noticed a front end noise...It was a steering related so i got a mechanic to listen...He said it sounds like a steering box so we went in to price it..Its a $1500 job,my heart dropped cause my truck only has 37200 kms on it and warrentt was up 5 months ago(trk is a 2010)....Heres the good part....They looked into and told me that it will be covered under good will seeing im a regular customer..It made my freakin day..
I guess it pays off to have a good relationship with your dealer..
Ill be droppin off my truck tomorrow and pick it up when i come back off the road next week..
