Anyone got a line on one of these that will fit? I know most people just put a set of vise-grips on the shaft and remove the nut with a wrench, but mine are very rusty and there's not a whole lot of room to play on the 2wd's. Lisle makes one (part #20400) but it's too small for my Ram.

Get yourself a strap wrench. One of the good ones. Made my job a hell of a lot easier.

Did you try using Vise grips? I just held it by hand after spraying PB Blaster over the hardware and zipped it off with an impact

so your replacing the front shocks on a 2wd? i would possibly be looking at cutting the shaft or nut with a grinder. even if you just cut the threaded rod right above the nut with a grinder it should make the nut come off super easy from the heat that is created

wire wheel and penitrating oil. a 3" cutoff tool would probably make short work of that if you have one but that is just my opinion. i think you can even get an adapter you use 3" cut off blades with a die grinder if you have one of those.

I'm tired of working on this truck. I'll let it sit overnight with some Naval Jelly on it and if it doesn't want to cooperate then I'll just have them put on when I take it in for the alignment...
