How do you like the Durango with the 5.7? Recalls? Warranty clams?

We also have a RT Durango with the 5.7 (a 2017) - it is awesome. The only issue we have had with it so far after 19 months in we have a strange rattle that seems to be coming from the oh **** handle on the driver side middle row. Have to get it to the dealer for them to look as it will require dropping the headliner to see if something came loose. Other than that, what a great vehicle with the 5.7 and 8 speed. It does **** and get and it really sounds good from the factory.

Love it! Just over 24k on the clock and only the Cruise Control and Auto Park Recalls. Otherwise absolutely zero issues. My favorite part is I can get 26-28 MPG on trips, or I can bury the pedal and drive it like I stole it.

Lots of room for a 7 passenger SUV, reason we chose the Citadel over an R/T was we have a larger family and the Roof Rack comes in handy.

I would like to get an SRT version of the Durango, I originally wanted a Challenger SRT/Scat Pack, but it’s hard to argue with taking the whole family.

Burla: Question- Does your Ram actually have a radiator cap? Giving you access to pour the RMI-25 directly into the radiator.

Sad to see other hemi forum's have guys with tick that can be ended not have access to the stuff we have here. Disinformation is everywhere, this poor ******* thinks hemi tick is isolated to 2011 so his 2009 can't have it, lol. Drink some redline pal, how simple is it to simply try a different oil and get rid of this curse, lol. Maybe he will find Corey's BITOG link if he starts searching for oil options, or maybe he will just be ticking until he swaps his cam.

Disinformation is everywhere

To be honest this is one of the main facts why most owners stay totally away from these Internet forums.
It has been getting worse over the last few years.
BITOG is a primary example. Back in 2005-10 it was so helpful and informative. Now days it’s The biggest drama/sausage fest I have ever seen.
I normally visit only once a week only for the entertainment value!

If I have questions I send a PM to a core group who I know I can trust with genuine factual answers. It might take a week or 2 before I receive an answer due to they don’t visit much anymore.

This is why this thread is so vital & important to keep alive with its core group.

I love the forums and it doesn't take long for me to figure who knows their **** and who is just full of ****.

While I don't agree with everyone's approach to a problem I respect anyone willing to do the research, experimentation and the work, then get on here and talk about it.

I mentioned that very thing on the Z a couple times and it didn't seem to generate much interest. I will say thanks to you Burla for coming on the Z last year I think it was and bringing it to my attention to start with. I probably wouldn't have ever known about it if you hadn't been spreading the gospel to other forums about curing Hemi tick. Redline 5W30 is the ****!

YW, and why we bother to keep posting regardless of the battles we find along the way. Generally speaking those forums just get one post and no follow up, the info is there if someone sees it, LIKE YOU :)

That place does have a good thread on cam/lifters, but I don't go over there anymore. I don't know if you followed up in that thread, maybe consider it. What is the value here is the number of results, similar to their cam/lifter thread. The more you have the same experience with different folks, the more credibility there is.

.

Much of the original core group that really knew their stuff left bitog when it was sold and the new owner took over.

I mentioned it on the z awhile back, but folks couldn't get past using anything other than 5/20.
