On a side note, the Ram has the 8 speed and the Pacifica has the 9 speed. My Ram shifts beautiful but the Pacifica can have some harsh shifts. I did a relearn on the 9 speed, hoping that will smooth things out.

If the 9 speed Chrylser uses is similar to the 9 speed ZF Honda/Acura use, gears 5-9 are dog clutches....MUCH harsher than friction clutches in our 8 speeds or gears 1-4 of the 9 speed.

You will feel it when coming out of or going into 5+. Plus those gear changes will be slower.

All in the name of 0.0000001 mpg....I test drove a TLX and I dont think it hit 9th gear until 85 mph.

I knew they were both ZF trannies. My experience has been that it is terribly slow to engage first from P or R, and consistently in the same spot coming home it will shift from 3rd to 2nd at about 20 mph, going up a slight incline, and always slam into 2nd. So far after forcing a relearn it has been much smoother.

For all of us with the 6.4 the PVC valve is intergraded into the intake manifold, it NOT a serviceable item. If you have a PVC failure the entire intake manifold needs to be replaced. :(

Of course.....

Seriously??

Yeah, I saw a 6.4 getting it done at the dealer when I was explaining the Chrysler Dealer Manual to the Parts guy to get my 4 digit code. Sad, his intake was so full of nasty oil residue ****. The service manager(who is awesome) said to run the seafoam or some other intake cleaner ever 10k at least.

So the intake manifold on the 6.4 has that internal PCV, well it’s not serviceable and to fix it they have to replace the whole intake manifold, which is $1200. So I’m going to Seafoam the **** out of mine, since I cannot put a catch can on it.

awe, ok, but you don't need 1200 at this point?

I think I'd be sea foaming at least once a year then.

Neg, I’m good, saw one at the dealer getting it done. ******. I’m going to do it every 6 months, cause it’s way cheaper than 1200!!!

I do every at 6 month OCI. About every 5,000 miles. My manifold looked pretty good when i did my throttle body cleaning.

As a note

SeaFoam for your intake (with the “s” straw) is like 90% acetone.
