Maybe it's a dye, if moly was green redline would be dark green. They die one of their additives blue, so that doesn't surprise me.

Yes sir , many run their filter for 2ea oci ( actually filters better with a few k on it ) , me personally I'd change it @ 12 -14 months max and a max of 12-14k if you fall into that catagory or less imo I think you'll be fine Sir .

This is news to me as well!
I couldn't wait... ended up changing my oil a bit early since I was tired of running the RP knowing it wasn't up to par with the PP and figured my truck would thank me later.
I got the RYP 10-48 filter, you're saying I can run that for two OCI?? Leave it on, or remove, drain, wipe, replace?

I do have to say, Ram did a serious injustice with the filter location. A zip lock bag over the filter helps a lot but it's moronic to have it there in the first place imo

Dan: I just leave mine on. It basically only holds 1/2 Qt. No harm is ever done.

You might have a hard time believing this as most will as well I didnt until Shannow proved it to me with actual data (white papers.)
Your oil that is in your filter is actually cleaner than the new oil that you're fixing to pour in.

Believe it or not the actual oil gurus within BITOG Will leave the old filter on for a couple of weeks after an oil change to actually clean or polish up the new oil that they just poured in.
And then change the oil filter with a new one.

I know everyone within these walls will find that very hard to believe but I promise you Shannow has more oil & filter knowledge than anyone in this forum and beyond.

I was just showing shaeffers moly treat for the color, I would never use that product. it is a oil thickner that shouldn't even have the name moly treatment on it. The best way to get a high moly count, is use a high moly oil.

Don't mean to be a smart A$$ but I do remember seeing a VOA of the #132.

A quote from Salesrep: "132 is to be used primarily for older vehicles with consumption problems."

It has very little Moly in it.
It has a few magic additives within it that a cheap VOA will not show.

Has anyone looked at Lubriplate? It used to be very high quality. I still use their 105 assembly lube in the shop.

Lubriplate what? Looks like a decent line of products leaning towards industrial. The type pf stuff you see at machinelube.

We used to use Lubriplate for certin applications at work , now we use Thixogrease for similar applications like sliding spline lube , fixed spline lube and large bolt shank lubrication. Areas where anti-corrosion protection and extremely high psi contact between similar metals .

Thanks Hammer for posting your SO OCI.

I found the 9000 5W-30 for $9.75 Qt
Just might be my next OCI.

I'm beginning to like my 6.4L option in the 2500 as long as I can get 4:10 gears. This emissions plagued 6.7L CTD is not promising.

I can run Schaeffers 9000 5W-40 in the 6.4L.
I can at least get it in the 4gal Jugs for $32.

I have a co-worker who has a 2015 & as of last Thursday has had his towed back to the dealership for def issues 4 times. Thursday on his way home from work went into limp mode!

He wants to remove the system but still along time left on warranty!

I'm really thinking of going with the 6.4L BUT go with 4:10 gears & try to get the ideal transmission.

We will see in a few months. Who knows!

They have engine oils as well. It does not appear that they have ventured into synthetics. The Super HDS comes in a 5w20 and says it has ZDDP. Don't know how much, though.

Thought they only offered one transmission in the 2500s. ?
I thought they had the 66RFE & 68RFE

I just went to Ramtrucks.com and built a 2500 with a 6.4Hemi and it only lets you choose the 66RFE as the trans. As soon as you select the 68RFE it makes you get a Cummins...
