They might not have even ran the sample again!
Just changed a couple of #s & filled in the blanks & pushed send.

I just have a very hard time with trusting anyone anymore. It has to be earned just not handed out.

Yes I did I opened my awesome FuMoto Drain Valve & let the black gold drain for 30 sec then took the sample.

Actually I drove the truck first for 15.2 min @ 75mph! To evaporate any moisture & cook out any other contaminants. Oil was right at 196*F when I pulled in the driveway!
I let her sit for around 14 min before starting the drain.
Yes! The oil was extremely hot when I drained it.

Too bad Sir , might I suggest next time you take a sample for a UOA either take multiple samples , or send the sample in without a full drain .
This way you'll have an opportunity to send a sample from the same oci to mutiple labs if need be .

Me personally , I catch my sample mid drain while hot as well and just incase my sample gets lost or damaged during shipping I collect a full extra quart in a clean container ....just in case

I'm over the feasco! I am focused on the next OCI.
I'm looking at this first UOA as a wash!
If it's actually correct--I'm still in great shape!

I'm only disappointed in the TBN / Depleted Additive package.
"Ya know honestly the only additive that I might consider really depleted is the Calcium."

I will collect a few other UOA w/SRT 0W-40 via Hellcat/SRT forums & somewhat compare.

Might just even use Amsoils Lab.

Just save an extra qt next time .... the info is very important imo , mainly because it takes 6+ months to achieve another .

If the next OCI seems totally off I will call them out again!

Might just even use Amsoils Lab.

I had used Blackstone for years and had never really gotten what I felt was good customer service. I continued using them when I switched everything over to Amsoil back in '10. It just made sense to me to order the postage pre-paid kit with the pump.

The sample bottles screw onto the pump and I just snake the hose down the dipstick tube and pull the sample. Completely mess free and I feel like I get a more accurate sample because I suck it from the top immediately after shutting down and the particles are (hopefully) still suspended as much as possible.

When I made the switch, it was confusing at first. Because Amsoil is an oil company, they contract the lab work out. I've had great luck with them and they are always very willing to help. I asked them a question about all the different company names involved during a survey last year and here was their response:

Jason –

This is in response to the questions you asked in the Walker Survey. We are sorry for the confusion and will explain what each refers to.

‘I don't know who I'm dealing with. Is it Oil Analyzers Inc, Horizon, Walker? I understand there are always contracts and subsidiaries, etc., but the customer doesn't need to deal with all of them. I just want to have one point of contact, not three... not even two. I am confused as to where I'm supposed to log in to now’.

(1) OIL ANALYZERS INC is the company you are testing with and is part of AMSOIL INC located in Superior WI.
(2) Oil samples are outsourced to an independent Laboratory – Polaris Laboratory - who is contracted to us to test the samples.
(3) The samples are outsourced because OIL ANALYZERS INC tests ALL oils so customers cannot say we are biased to AMSOIL products when reporting test results.
(4) The program is monitored by an OIL ANALZYERS INC Manager in Superior WI and an Assistant who have access to the entire data base.
(5) Horizon is the name of the data base for OIL ANALYZERS INC.
(6) Walker is the name of the company conducting the surveys.
(7) Customers can call Customer Service at the Laboratory @ 877-458-3315 and OIL ANALZYERS INC Corporate Office @ 715-395-0222 to discuss the reports, get corrections made, etc..

If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for choosing OIL ANALYZERS INC for your testing needs.

... And we thought we were oil geeks... This engineer has us all beat. By a country mile. And then some. He's tested around 200 different oils and posts the results and all kinds of info on his blog. Interesting read if you have a few hours.

I believe these as they align with what I have seen over the years. I think I will continue to use shell oils if possible might go QSUD since I can't even find PUP locally.

Im thinking about not mentioning the Redline ZDDP additive in my current fill that i will be sending to blackstone just to see what it looks like. Why do they need to know if the additive is in it really?

Just conspiracy theorizing LOL
