SO I just got a new set of OEM Rims and New Tires. I swapped the old TPMS sensors from my old rims to the new ones. I drove for about 30 min after the initial install and everything was fine after the swap. Then the Low Tire Light started blinking and after 5 min it stayed on solid. I went to the tire shop and they tested the sensors and they all tested good and gave an accurate pressure reading. NOW When I start the truck it usually blinks for a lil bit then goes solid. One time it was off, then blinked, then went solid. I am kinda lost - you guys got any Idea? Same sensors, only thing that's different is rims and tires and the sensors test as good so I am stumped? This is a 2009 Ram 1500 4.7L.

Thanks, In Advance. Cory C

Started at 50 then Bumped it up to 60 to see if that helped and it did not
They probably got damaged when switching them to the new wheels, happens quite often even though some people don't seem to agree ...

I would replace all 4, being that the truck is an 09 the sensors are probably on it's last legs, get piece of mind and just replace them

I assumed the same thing - damaged when swapped but how are they testing good then? That's the confusing part. I may just change them all - but hate to just roll the dice

What does your door sticker call for on tire pressure,
sounds awful high for a half ton.

lol - It is High and I am not gona leave it there (not that it would hurt anything other than stiff ride if I did). As I said - I was just testing to see if the sensors would read with higher pressure. My Question is about the Low Tire Pressure light. Thanks Guys

Nitto A/T Terra Grappler G2. They say 40 to 80 PSI. Like I said , started at 50 then went to 60 just to see if it would help
I have my Ridge Grapplers at 37 front and 35 in the rear ... you might be able to do something similiar, but I did have to change the tire pressure thresholds with ALFAOBD ....

But back to the sensors, I would just replace all 4

guess that's really all I can try - aren't there two different MHz Options for these things?

It is possible that with way to high a reading you are confusing the BCM,
also you will wear out the centers with to much pressure for theload.

Sometimes it could take X amount of ignition cycles plus miles

You can't really go by year for TMPS frequencies

I had a 2009 Ram 1500 Bighorn SLT w/ HEMI, 20" factory wheels
It had Schrader brand TPMS 315 Mhz , Original Owner
