I have a 2018 Ram 2500 HD Turbo Diesel. After a hard blowing wind and rain I found water in the storage compartments under to rear seats. Thanks to Ram, I am unable to fold down my rear back seat to look for any signs of water getting in. Don't know if the rear sliding window is the issue or not. Has anybody encountered this same problem and how did you resolve the problem?

The first place I'd check is the cab vents, which are located on the back wall behind the seats. You'll need to remove the rear seats to get to them. They are definitely prone to leaking. There's an updated part number for a newer version that less prone to leaking. I was getting moisture in my under seat storage and the new vents fixed the issue.

Close, that's the second place, the first is the third brake light gasket, then cabin vents, then rear window or sunroof drains.

I replaced the gasket on on my 3rd brake light and it fixed my leaking rear window. Wish I would have known about it sooner as the water got in, froze, and destroyed my rear window motor. Now that window has been rendered useless.

Hundreds of others on this forum have gone through the same thing.

Just replace the gasket last thursday, on my 2019 classic plus I sealed the whole light plastic fixture with silicone ,there is only 2 screws and not enough pressure on the gasket, not very good design.

I’ll throw in a leak location that was on my truck that I never saw mentioned. I did all the fixes before I found the leak (third brake light, cab vents window track drains, door seal) Mine ended up being the seam sealant dried out where the cab back and side meet under the rear glass seal and down the back of the cab.

My 2018 2500 Larmie is also leaking. I went through a car wash water came pouring down the seatbelts. Will take a look at the 3rd brake light.
