Just curious out there if anyone knows the weight difference on a single cab 5.7 hemi and a crew cab? Who would win in a 1/4 race a single cab with 3.21 vs a crew with 3.92 gearing stock for stock? Thoughts?

That would be a good race, are these both 8 speeds? I think the cab and seats is about 500 pounds in terms of weight, vs the 22% mechanical advantage. I think the 8 speed will equalize that gearing on the long run it would be close. I dont know, I think I would call it to the regular cab. Man maybe not.
Thought I read somewhere the weight difference between Reg cab and crew cab is ~1000lbs. Don't quote me. I'd take the Reg cab in that race.

I haven't been able to find the exact numbers but I'm leaning on the reg cab as well for the win. I'm not sure if it's a 1,000lbs lighter though. But then again wouldn't the frame be slightly shorter not to mention less exhaust components and of course the cab size?
I recently traded MY15 RCSB Sport/Rambox/3.92LSD
Weight = 4891lbs.
PS: This truck was a blast to own and drive
Purchased a MY16 CC Laramie Longhorn/6.4'Rambox/3.21LSD
Weight = 5532lbs.
I would bet my $$ on the RCSB in the 1/4, even though it has the 3.21s
Just less weight to get moving
This would also depend on any wheel spin, but I'm ignoring that aspect, let's say both would launch equally as far as tire hookup
As far as my trucks, the Hemi has plenty of power, but I certainly wish I had the 3.92LSD in my CC.
I realize that I should have cited my source. In PA, on our yearly registration cards, it shows unladen weights. That is where I found those numbers.Where did you get your numbers from? 640lbs seems like a close figure on weight difference.
