**** my pants doing the plugs today...
I knew I was going to have issues taking the coil pack bolts off, so I spent last week in trying to find replacement studs so that I could actually start fresh and make sure I put some rust protection on them bolts for the next time around. Seems I am not the only one around here having problems taking those off as only 1 dealer in a 100km radius had some on hand. He had only 5, so I ran over picked up the 5 he had and told my self I would save as many I could doing the job... 3 coils left to take off and none so far had the courtesy of coming off gently without braking...
OK so gently I go, and hooray! I was able to save the last 3 studs... 2 of them cam off altogether with the top nut jammed on the bolt and one unscrewed OK with a little help from my new friend the PB bottle.
I also cleaned the 3/16" carbon deposit on the IAC/housing of the TB and did another more thorough clean out of the whole TB assembly.
Cleaned out the corrosion from the IPDM main contact, reconnected and covered with Dielectric grease.
Took off the front grill to get rid of the chrome, and paint the inserts with some Mate black, and rejuvenate the Metal frame that holds the Grill while I was at it.
Busy scary day in the garage...
