Attempting to polish the truck..... and getting discouraged [emoji20]. It took water spots just fine, but didn’t even touch the marks the old pinstripes made. I was gonna make it super smooth to apply new pinstripe but now idk...

Okay so after getting frustrated with it, I decided to continue on. And I must say after some hard work, it doesn’t look too bad haha.
I was only able to do one side but I think it came out great, and I got a nice finish out of it.
The process that I did was
-McGuires M105 - Orange Hex Logic Pad
-McGuires M205 - White Hex Logic Pad
-ChemGuys All In One - Blue Hex Logic Pad
-ChemGuys Wet Finish
-ChemGuys JetSeal
-Mothers Finish Spray Wax

Past few days I have been driving all over the area going to salvage yards trying to find a replacement console lid for my grandpa's '04 duramax at salvage yards, I looked through easily 50+ silverados and in every single one of them, the console had been taken. I can't believe they are so hard to find, I guess those consoles busting must be a pretty regular occurrence. Anyways, I looked through some rams while I was there and found a me a few 3rd gens I'd like to steal some stuff out of, an early 3rd gen with cruise control goodies, an '06 with power windows/locks and all that, and an '08 ram with a hemi (Not that I'd trust myself with a v6-hemi swap lol)

Anyways my truck is currently getting the lower ball joints replaced, and I HOPE that will solve the front end squeak that I've been chasing for a long time

Put truck up for sale two days ago, received three calls for viewing, then last night I blew a outer axel bearing and half the seal was gone, just a little piece of rubber and a broken spring. Figures right! :emotions122:

- Bought a 2004 1500 w/ 84K miles on Wed
- read codes that popped up 2 miles from home when check engine light came on (O2 & EGR)
- pulled drivers headlamp assembly to replace turn signal bulb and had my son reinstall (it will be his truck)
- dropped blower fan to remove broken recirc door so air would properly flow from vents
- made a list of all the stuff I need to check, change, fix on this new "project" :D

I have a love/hate relationship with wiring. It’s so tedious fbc13593af2b8190913213f29b732d68.jpg

I’m the opposite of everyone else. I just don’t like the newer ones, they never clicked with me

You could always get it professionally re-wrapped for a better look and feel.

Idk where, but I'm sure you can. :)

I’ve thought about it but that’s so far down on the list of priorities that I don’t care right now
