That’s a rare bird. 6spd an you got the updated 4.7, nice score!
Oh really?? I didn't know it was a rare one! My cousin said it's really hard to find them with a manual transmission. I'm glad I had a good find!!
The dealership posted it today and I happened to find it while looking for a Tacoma (which would've cost $6,000 more than this one did!)
Luckily the dealership was only 15 mins away. I ran over to the dealership (since I'd already been approved for a loan) and took it for a ride. As I was signing the paperwork, two more people came looking to buy it!

Yea the 08+ 4.7 got a nice power bump over the previous **** 4.7s, an in 09(newer body style) they did away with the manual option in the 1500s. A guy when I first got my truck had an 08 reg cab an had a superchips on it an somebitch ran hard!

Joined the Ram world. First Dodge I’ve ever owned. Always owned Toyota trucks. 2008 Ram 1500. Looks like I’ve got a leveling kit. Gotta get to tires.
81,000 miles. No rust. 6 speed manual. Dealer bought it in Vegas. I’m excited to join the club!

That's a great truck! Welcome to the forum, you'll find very knowledgeable people here. My 06 has a manual too, check out Core Shifters if you want to upgrade your shifter. It will eliminate the sloppy feeling and shorten the throws.

That’s great information to have! I plan on researching more about my truck so thank you for that information! I’m stoked I found this!

I will for sure! I didn’t even know that was an option, just thought I was stuck with this one! Glad to find another manual 06 owner!

Well yesterday I finally got around to tearing apart my $40 junkyard leather seats to scavenge the heater elements out of them for my ‘06. Wired those bad boys up with the Mopar heated seat switch bar i got off ebay for $25 and now I’m the proud owner of a heated PASSENGER seat. Drivers seat is still giving me trouble. Says the circuit is still open. Oh well... Good thing its the weekend i guess. Time to troubleshoot.

Picked up truck from dealer.
They never resolved error code/rough running issue...

Best part. They didn't tighten lug nuts on front passenger wheel.
Yup. Need not say any more.

Replaced the passenger valve cover gasket a few weeks ago. The polar vortex came to Iowa in the form of -30 deg temps and froze up the breather tube full of ice. The pressure built up and blew out the gasket, leaking oil on the RH side of the engine and all over the exhaust header. Luckily it happened close to home and I didn't lose much oil. When I pulled the breather off to remove the valve cover, that's when I discovered it was full of ice.

I've been laid up due to some health problems for the last 2½ months so I was finally able to get some work done. I installed a new EGR valve and new seal on the EGR hose to intake. It was amazing the amount of crud built up on the pipe end going into the intake! A few minutes of scrubbing and a new seal, cleared the ECU codes and all better. I also replaced the fuel filler hose and took a look at my gas tank which is/was leaking. I get to check if my band-aid works in about 48 hours when I go to fill up next.

Other than that, I was able to ride my motorcycle today for the first time in over 2 months. Damn I missed it.

New hubs, brake rotors, pads, calipers and T-linkage steering.
Still need to do track bar and had to order a new dual steering stabilizer set up for the “T” style since I had a “Y” style.
Also new rear shocks and having some complications with the fronts since I have duals and do t know what the secondary ones came from.

Drove on into town, noticed i was only getting 10 MPG cruising at 65. Looked a little deeper and my truck is throwing a P0113 code. My OBDLink says it threw the code 1600 miles ago, but I have yet to get a check engine light

EDIT- The connector just fell off. Plugged back in and no more codes. My check engine light is definitely not working though lol
