Having that open gap w/o the clutch fan may make the illusion worse

i didn't even realize that clutch fan was gone. explains everything. i did that with my foxbody and it made a huge difference in cleaning up the engine bay area.

Sorry, missed your posting. The engine is in it's stock position. As mentioned having the cowl removed makes it look like it is sitting back some, plus it has a OCP manifold which changes the look some. The TB is actually pointing straight up..

gotcha! it looks really clean man! thanks for the reply.

Got my manifold and Procharger pipes powdercoated. Now time to get my valve covers done and install the motor.

It certainly changes the appearance of the OCP manifold. Looks good..
Yeah it does! Can't wait to have it all installed. Any update on yours?

I'm still running the 03 pcm and really want a time slip before swapping in the 05. But life keeps getting in the way along with the weather... Maybe later this month? The little testing I've done, it seems to pull hard past 6k with just a tad over 5psi.

Ohhh man who knows. The motor isn't even Installed, it just on a engine stand at home. It's at the suspension shop getting some coil over. Then I still have to get custom made wheels made which that takes a few months. So honestly I'm looking at winter time before I hit the track. I'll have some dyno number way before.

worked on the black 03 a little, did some more polishing on the truck, got the hood all nice and shiny, I removed the big mouth grill I just installed (I was not feeling the look) and I replaced it with a grill I had in the attic from my blue truck before it was rebuilt, so since it was blue I sanded it down and painted it black to match the truck so now both my girls in the garage are clean shavin lol, blue truck has much more shaved but shaving the grill makes such a big difference

i also put the daily to work, ive been cleaning up a property and had to empty an entire house and remove two cars from the lot, so about a dozen full trailer loads of junk and large furniture on this trailer and full bed, along with towing away a chevy lumina and a ford f350 with a camper on it, i didn't take any pix of the truck on the trailer but let me tell you that was some weight but that's where the 3/4 ton showed just how good she was! :favorites13:

OH and before anyone says anything about it, yes the chevy lumina was not loaded properly, yes i know but with the tight area i was in and the fact neither vehicle ran, i did what i had to do but the car was very light so it was all good
