Would completely changing my 02 dodge ram look good?

Right now I have a 2002 dodge ram 1500 sport SlT 4x4 that is almost all red

image-1617421931.jpg

I have seen a 2011 dodge ram sport red changed wit all red and black and I think I want to do mine but want to make sure that it will look good. Need everyone's opinion! Okay so I want to eat new wheels, I really like these ballistic jesters:

Then I want to replace the running boards with ones like these:

image-3072399447.jpg

Then the bed rail caps replaced to black diamond plate

image-895012849.jpg

Then, the guy who I got the idea from removed his billet grill and painted it black, but then he debadged it completely. I was thinking of taking the badges off and painting them black then putting them back on in the same spot.
Can anyone else help me picture this? It's gonna cost alot to get the bed rail caps, running boards, and te wheels so I want to make sure it will look good before doing so. Any advice, tips, pointers or opinions will be much appreciated!

Yeah I know! I thought so too but then someone said today not to get rims on my truck because it would look ***. Then someone on a different forum said not to put the badges and lettering back on but just take them completely off

I think if you did the wheels / steps / bed caps all in black it'd look pretty mean.
You can google "Plasti-dip emblems" and come up with an easy way to test out the look of black badges. Personally, I like the shaved look. On a truck too!

By shaved look you mean take off all the emblems right? Haha thanks! Now I know a term for it instead of having to say "take off all the emblems" I also want to get these covers for my KC lights

This is actually my first car/truck so I plan on keeping it for a while!

its nice to get opinions and suggestions based on what us as an individual would like but in the end just do what you want to do cause its your ride.

I bet the black emblems would look good. And if not you can take them off later. Also with your year truck when you take the emblems off itll leave ghost lettering, which means there will be an outline of where to put the letters. Ao itll be easy to put them back in the same spot.
Red and black has always looked good IMO. I say go for it. Though ive only like running boards on lifted trucks.

True. But I got a buddy with a bad back who needs the running boards for climbing in and I plan on getting lifted eventually.
Chaney, how does plasti dip work? I was just gonna use plasti-kote spray paint, take them off spray em and slap em back on. And if they leave ghost lettering like the other guy says it wouldn't be too hard to throw back on there

So I think I'm gonna go through with it! Asking for a few things for Christmas to help black it out, and gonna post my running boards on Craigslist maybe today or tomorrow, how much should I ask for them? I think their $470 new. Their wheel to wheel 4 inch westin step bars

Yeah so ive decided I like everything else but I'm still torn on black step bars. I've seen a couple and they look great, low profile but then I've seen some that stand out and just look horrible. What is everyone else's input? If I got new step bars they would be cab length, not wheel to wheel like mine are now

Looks awesome, man! I think the wheels would look sweet, too. I want some black wheels with accents to match my truck. But that won't happen until way later on. I'm going to work on all the other pieces of chrome first. My headlights and fog lights are under the axe next, I think.

Are you going to paint the bezels or buy new ones?
