so i had emailed superlift to double check that 17" wheels would work. this is what i got back.

Hello,

Thank you for your interests in our kit.
Sorry to say but we say our minimal size wheel you can run is a 18" wheel
Our knuckle might be a little different in allowing the smaller wheel.
We say the smallest is a 18x 8 with backspacing of 4.25-5

So that sucks to hear but i think i might take it with a grain of salt since idk who even makes an offroad 18x8 wheel lol

Hoping to help those wanting 17s with the Superlift, I run 17x9 Moto Metal 970s, 4.5 bs, 0 offset. And have a 4" Superlift on 35x12.5R17 BFG KO2s

Went and snapped some pics on my lunch. Knuckle, lower ball joint, tie rod end and caliper all clear with about a 1/4"

thanks for those pics. I would be running like 2.5 bs with 4.5 from offset and 2" from bora spacers so it sounds like ill have plenty of room.

Quick question do you have bilsteins and pre load spacers? thought you weren't supposed to do that, maybe my eyes are deceiving me

im not sure? probably just some bs like 17s wont fit.

Does the eco weigh more? Is the suspension any different? If not i would say it would work and they just haven't tested it

I know the weight is different. Maybe the same as like 3/4 ton lift coils for gas vs diesel?

I was guessing its because they haven't tested it, other applications are the same.

Agreed, don't see why they say 17s won't work

While that would make sense, the front coils(where all the weight is) stay the same. I dont think the weight difference would make the knuckles or spacers fail. They definitely didnt change the suspension that much or anything other then springs, if that.

So the only difference would be the rear springs, but there isn't going to be any extra weight there.

i dont see why it wouldn't work. Especially since you can use bilsteins on them.

14eco1500 be the test subject hahah!

You're right, now that I think about it, the difference in spring rate would be on the trucks stock. So I don't see why they wouldn't work? I'll do some research after work
