Those look good. Makes me reconsider the low profile ones and just do these since they wouldn't require any painting. Thanks!

don't they claim that each one is good for 1,000lbs?
my bad, just checked again. the price is about $14 for 4 covers and $10 shipping. Altho we only have 2 holes lol... not a bad deal to have spares for down the road.
I agree tho, functionality is nice.
I trimmed the plastic inside the hole for the clamp to hit steel in the rear holes. Works with my Truxedo cover.
i just installed the 4001 rings. i dont see how these things will hold any meaningful tension. they clamp to the plastic rail cover. there is no contact with the bed itself as far as i can tell. just pulling on it with my finger causes the whole cap to flex and pull up with the ring.
ah, i see. thank you. guess ill have to take a knife to my 3 week old '15. odd that is not part of their install instructions. you'd think they'd mention that little bit of pretty important info. You need to cut out the 'inner circle' right on the line in the REAR stake pockets. This will allow the bullring to connect with the steel and not just the bedcap.
The front 'lines' are a bit oversized. Recommend you start small in the center and work your way out to the steel.
WATER: Not a concern on 4th Gens as it exits the bullring and drops straight down to the street, outside of your bed area. (Front or rear, no water enters the bed.)
RATTLE: They rattled like a sumbitch while laying loose in my front seat before I installed them. After installation, can't hear any rattling. Maybe if I rode in the bed, I might hear them, but nada while in the cab.
Thanks for the info. On the site they suggest the router to open up the holes (atleast for the flush mount version), would you suggest the same?

The info is on the Bull Rings website, but I imagine they do not put it on the actual 'one size fits most' model packaging as it fits many different trucks,,,

i do have a dremel but i think i'd have better control with a utility knife. maybe if i get motivated, ill take a stab at it this weekendi didnt cut out the whole pocket, just notches where the bull ring clamps on. .
