I want everyone to know I bought a brand new 2025 1500 Laramie crew cab- Bought brand new from Punta Gorda dealership- I barely had the truck for a week- drove it to fort myers to get the spray for the bed liner, then back to punta gorda for window tinting and the whole dash was black (not turning on) this was at the dealership when I went to pick up my truck- since April many weeks later - still do not have the truck fixed anf they do not know when they will get the part in. Contacted dodge ram they will not help! I asked for a full refund seeing that I have not driven it besides the two places and they will not help at all! Please save yourself the trouble - Don't buy a RAM!!!!!

I'm sorry to hear about your issue with your new truck. I can't imagine going through that. But it's one truck out of thousands, and certainly not normal. And to come in to a Ram forum advising everyone not to buy a Ram seems more like you're trolling than actually going through this. If you are really experiencing what you claim you need to check out your state's lemon laws. If it's been in the shop as long as you say it would qualify for a buy back in most states.

In op's defense, this is not one truck out of 1,000, there are these type of unfixable problems showing up. We do not know if it is going to rise to the level of Cam problems with the hemi, but the main issue with the problems well documented on other boards is lack of dealership support It's not like the hemi tick, if you get a misfire you get a new cam, this is different, nagging issues some of which they have no fix for.

OP hire a lemon law lawyer, costs you nothing, they have a duty to repair, if they refuse you get paid. I know from experience, a dealer refuses to repair my truck a Chevy with an item with tsb, they "tried" they said. I won the case. You don't need 4 attempts if they refuse.

^^^^^ This ^^^^^^ my new 2025 Ram 1500 is just fine and Dandy!! Thank you!!:) had a couple hiccups with false misfire codes but a flash of the computer and all is good! Hope you get it worked out.
and your definition of fine and dandy? If I had a new ram with mis fire codes and "hiccups" I might have a different definition, with respect.

This is your experience, but it's not the norm. These truck come off the assembly line at about one every minute, most of these truck never come back to the dealership once sold. If there's a problem that affecting these trucks it shows up on the forums and there haven't been any major reports of the dashboards going out.
Sounds more like you're having a problem with a crappy dealership, which is usually the case when people come to complain.

Hi thank you! It is @RamCares that will not help! I have not had the truck for almost a month now - paid my first month payment - no time frame when it will get fixed- I just want my money back for the defective truck or at least have a better response - even @ramcare hasn't helped with figuring out when the dealership can get the part- they just can't help with any of this. Denied my request for my money back (I haven't driven the truck except to the two places mentioned dealership and fort myers! This is just not okay and not good business. While I understand maybe this is some on the dealership it is @RamCares that is not willing to help at all get my truck back to me! So how long should I wait for my truck to get fixed 2 months and meanwhile make 2 monthly payments on it?
I have heard from a few others that have had this happen with the RAM 1500 and dash going out completely. If a brand new truck that had 11 miles on it and it goes out- just trying to prevent anyone else from going through what I am with no truck and paying for it! I just can't believe the lack of customer support that I am getting! No one is helping at all! - Thank you for your post though and your reply!

Then if you can't get resolution through the dealer or RamCares... hire a lemon law attorney and see if you qualify for a buyback. Those are your only options aside from waiting for the repair.

I went through similar with Ford and their 10-speed transmission so it isn't a Ram specific problem.

Someone never got the bees with honey then vinegar talk. If the only solution is total refund, you will need to hire a lawyer. But if you want it fixed, give them a chance. I'm on your side trust me, the other forum has many more examples of this exact thing happening. Stuff that is fatal with no support, if they want to bring ram back to what it was, they have to fix this garbage.

many guys getting rams bought back, and similar issues 63 pages worth. Does this make it a major issue, I dunno. From an outside observer, I would say the troubling issue is lack of support, not the % of new rams having issues. good luck op

Yeeaahh, I believe your problems are more about your dealership than with the truck itself. Keep fighting the good fight!

I'm thinking that RAM has enough parts to build a new one about every minute, but they don't have the part you need to get your truck back on the road again.

exactly - almost a month I don't have it and sitting at the dealership @RamCares wont help and dealership can't order the part - meanwhile they want me to continue making the monthly payment and I don't have the new truck I paid for seriously What the heck! - tried being nice and they are not helping - I am not going to be nice anymore! I need to let everyone know what is happening and hopefully this doesn't happen to someone else! -

Thank You yes!!! I want the full refund - I paid a down payment and my first months payment and haven't really dirven it - 4 weeks later still sitting at the dealership with no time frame when the part can be ordered - I have no truck I paid for and they want me to contonue to make the same monthly payment @RamCares and stilantis turned me down twice for help - they will not give me my money back and will not help! No one is helping at all :-( I don't have my truck I paid for - no one else would accept this! I am going to have to get an attorney now - thank you!!!! I appreciate your post reply!

So, first and foremost, not trying to be negative or hateful or nothing and if I misread you’re opening post, I apologize but did you say your truck had this problem already at the dealership the day you went to pick it up? If that’s the case then why didn’t you refuse that one and then go look at another truck?

The day I went to the dealership to get my 2018 brand new and if something like that would’ve been wrong with it, I wouldn’t have signed the papers on it or if they wanted to sell me the truck bad enough, I would’ve made them fix it before I bought it because now that you’ve already purchased it and signed the papers, you’re at the mercy of parts being on backorder, probably.

And I also don’t understand why ram cares isn’t wanting to help you. The one and only time I had to get a hold of Ram cares, they practically bent over backwards for me. Sure, they only helped me out for something that cost probably 250 bucks but hey, they still helped me out. And what it was, my lifetime warranty wouldn’t pay for a software update on my Uconnect radio because being that they already paid to replace my radio due to that screen, delamination crap and that’s why they wouldn’t pay it because supposedly they only cover the factory installed radio, and the new radio that the dealership put in was not the factory radio anymore and because Uconnect was having issues with their over the air updates, that’s why it had to be done at the dealership and that’s what they were gonna charge me for shop time to do it and then after calling Ram cares, they got it all paid for and it didn’t cost me anything.

OP: U got 3 options.

1/ wait for repair at dealership
2/ get truck to another dealership. But if part is not available U sol.
3/ Try Lawyer route.
