Sounds like you do...

(Next time you post a video, record it with the camera sideways and it will be a full picture instead of the cinematic black areas on the side.)

Roadshow: can you give us some info on your ram?
Mileage/Oil used & filter/Your Oil change intervals...

If you are not using an oil with a high volume of Moly... There might be a chance to help by quickly changing...

I suspect exhaust bolts on that, if it turns out to be lifter tick I solved mine with redline oil and a Royal purple filter, but mine sounded much worse like a sewing machine. Any recent oil change?

Yeah, that sounds like a broken exhaust manifold bolt.

Does it sound like metal hitting metal or small burts of air?

Under warranty? I'd be bringing that to the dealer and accepting nothing less than a quiet motor in return.

that's defiantly exhaust related and not the "hemi tick" most talk about which is lifter bleed down.

They just fixed mine last week, took a month to "order the parts"..then I drop if off a month later on the scheduled date, they tear it all down then call me to tell me no one ever ordered the parts. All of a sudden at that point they can get the parts in a day. A little aggravating but saved me a chunk of money. And most importantly that horrible sound is gone.

Sounds like a broken manifold bolt to me or a broken flange bolt. Doesn't sound like hemi tick to me.

For everyone saying manifold, does that match where my noise is coming from? Driver side front area. Also as I said in the OP, it only happens on a cold start and stops after about a minute and a half of warming up. Wouldn't a manifold bolt problem continue no matter what?

I listened to that video twice. It does sound like a broken manifold bolt in the beginning but towards the end it sounds different than an exhaust bolt to me.

As far as it going away after it warms up a bit, thats pretty normal for a broken exhaust bolt. The manifold expands when heated up sealing the exhaust leak.

It's the bolt.

I had exact same symptoms. Fixed the bolt under warranty, ticking went away instantly.

How many miles are you guys seeing this broken exhaust bolt at? I have a 14' with 18k miles and it is as quiet as can be.

I was told by a tech at the dealer to pull on the heat shield toward the rear of the manifolds as those are the most common bolts to break. If there's any movement in the manifold a bolt is broken. Tried it on mine and its solid.
