2013 uConnect 8.4AN and Pandora or other apps?

Hi All - I've seen that in the 2013 uConnect 8.4AN radio, we should be able to get Pandora and a couple other apps via the radio. I have the iPhone (4s) app for uConnect and left the app open when turning on the truck, but no luck.

Just wondering if anyone has been able to get Pandora or any other apps besides Bing on your radio? If so, what phone do you have and how did you do it?

Stream pandora via bluetooth from your phone

Thanks - I can try streaming via bluetooth, but it looks like we should be able to control it via the radio itself as an app on uConnect. Take a look at this page: Uconnect® Access | The next generation of connectivity has arrived

I'll give uConnect support a call tomorrow. The page says to update your mobile profile on owner connect, but I do not see any place to do that. I'll post whatever they say.

yeah please update this! I also tried pairing another non iphone and still no access to any apps. I love the Uconnect! but I am disappointed with the availability of apps, Just Bing and WIFI hotspot is all I have access to.

Hi All - I talked with someone knowledgeable at uConnect today. He did some looking into the issue and found that the feature isn't available yet. His estimate, though he had no date, was within two months. Apparently, once it's ready, we should be able to see a "via mobile" tab on our owner connect profile page here: https://www.moparownerconnect.com/oc/us/en-US/Pages/ProfileUpdate.aspx

If anyone does see that button on the left side for via mobile, can you please post a reply? Thank you!

I was trying to get this answer a few weeks ago as well. The lady I talked to at uConnect support said it would be awhile yet before there were any more apps. Kind of crappy as they make it sound like there are apps available. I dont have the "via mobile" tab either.

What I cant figure out is how to:

"Visit Mopar® Owner Connect+ to add account information for apps like Pandora® and Slacker Radio to your mobile profile, so you can access your saved stations and settings."

as it says at the bottom of this webpage:
Uconnect® Access | The next generation of connectivity has arrived

I have an account and can get to all the info on my truck, but dont see anywhere you can change your mobile profile.

Yeah, the uConnect guy seemed to think that the mobile settings button would become available on our profile page once the services/apps were generally available as well. So, I guess we watch and wait... :-(

I am sure we are going to see a lot of updates, Apps and software this year. Nice thing is this system can be upgraded with software to allow more options. Not to mention with the gained popularity of the 8.4AN someone in time will hack it and allow even more cool stuff

Sucks it isnt availible now, but still glad I have it. If apple will only allow me to voice text from the 8.4an I would be stoked!

I dont have uConnect access on my 8.4an. Mine came with the uConnect delete because of my location.

Though there is Sprint service up here, its on an extended network. I think this is the reason why they delete the option on our vehicles.

It would have been better if Chrysler was in contract with Verizon instead of Sprint.

Does anyone with iPhone know if you can only connect the device by having it plugged in or does it connect via bluetooth?

It will work via Bluetooth, the only thing that seems not to be compatible is texting through the unconnect

Hey all just found this forum/thread when I was also searching for Pandora on UConnect on my new 1500.

Seems like Pandora, Aha, iHeartRadio and Slacker Radio with all be "available" soon.

Hopefully they will keep the apps under the Advantage Package and not start charging data access fees

Yeah 49.95 a month for 3G on Sprint. Even in a vehicle that's insane.

I will stick to using my iPhone as a hotspot and get my 4G LTE for $30 bucks less.
