Cant register Uconnect

was on the phone with tech support today for over almost 2hrs. They wrote up a ticket for the problem and will get back to me within 72 hours.
we tried reseting the 8.4AN and still couldn't register. The entire time I was parked in a open lot with no obstructions, and a clear sky.
Had a good network connection showing 3g and 2 bars.
Funny thing is the Nav works, and I can even search gas prices. I can not register the Uconnect system, connect to the store, or use the assist button.

Text message issues here too. I think the iphone5 isn't very compatible with the Uconnect systems. I can have my texts read via the uconnect, but when I reply using either a canned or unique message, it doesn't actually try to send it through my phone.
After the phone was paired, I had to go into the bluetooth settings on the phone, find uConnect, and click the arrow to see the details. From there, you can turn on "Show Notifications". Once I did that, the messaging button on the truck screen became enabled and messages started coming through.
On a side note, I was reading that sending text messages from uConnect requires the subscription package (that we have the trial of) - so I'm guessing that outgoing texts go through the embedded phone, rather than getting sent from the iPhone itself. Maybe there's something up with the uConnect phone/text system. Just curious if anyone out there has been able to successfully send texts from the system?

Guess we'll have to wait for a Chrysler update to the uConnect software or something. Wonder if it has anything to do with the uConnect->iPhone or if it's just the uConnect itself.
Anyone with an Android phone able to send text messages via uConnect?

I called Chryster uConnect support. They informed me the iPhones are not compatible with sending voice texts. She pointed me to uconnectphone.com You can put in your info there and see what features are compatible with it. The site shows a red x on outgoing voice text features. Not sure if it's an Apple issue or a uConnect issue, but looks like we're out of luck. Not good.
