hey guys and girls, just picked up a 2011 1500 outdoorsman. Looked through the threads and still can't decide on 4" vs 6" lift. I'm currently deployed so I'm more or less ordering parts to sit until I get home. What size lift would y'all recommend & why? & places to order? Newish to dodge trucks. Had an old GMC 2500 but she wasn't exactly easy on the eyes. Thanks in advance for the input.

Depends on you. I would hate to get a 4" and regret not getting a 6".

6"

Agree with gasser, after having a 4" for a while you'll wish you had gone with the 6. So do it right the first time.

Rzrman your truck looks awesome. Heard some bad things about RCX though. Any issues with your lift?

Thx.

What bad things have you heard?

I've just heard fitment issues & cheap parts that break often. It wasn't on a Ram, I've heard of it on Chevy's and Jeeps though. Wasn't sure if that was also the case on dodges.

Ya, negative.

Fitment was on point. As far as cheap parts, I personally haven't had any issues on any parts. The kit is cheaper price wise than other kits.

There are some issues with RCX in the finish department, some rust spots here n there but not enough to go against the product as a whole for what it's intended purpose is for.

I can speak for first hand use of the rcx on a 1/2 ton Chevy.. they work just fine.. I destroyed stock oem parts and the aftermarket lift parts faired just fine. Is rcx the nicest lift you can get? Nope but it is a good budget lift. Everyone has their own favorites.. bds is a good high end lift. As long as you don't buy some pieced together lift off eBay or Craig's list I am sure you will be fine.
