Around 55 on the way down (4 hours, 220 miles) and say 65 on the way back (around 3:15). The average is never as fast as you think it is. :)

Bellevue to Portland is heavy traffic past SeaTac to Tacoma to Olympia (first 60 miles took 1:50), then it opens up and the limit to 70, then just before the Oregon border down goes the limit to 60.. I205 in Portland is a 30mph rolling jam from the Columbia to where I turned off 16 miles south. On the way back we stopped for dinner near JBLM so we could let the traffic ease up a bit.

yeah- I think anytime I look at avg MPH, it's closer to 35 mph because I do far more city driving. I wish I had more highway driving.

You could always have it redone. It would probably look better than what the factory did, I'd imagine. Put some carbon fiber print on it, or a gloss black to help match the tinted windows.

Yep, I briefly thought the same thing...I'll probably just drive around with it as is for awhile. After all, I can't see it when I'm driving!

So true.

The hour meter on my 2014 Corvette says that currently I have 450 hours on the engine. I also have 9300 miles, so that's an average of 20.5 or so miles per hour. All city driving to work and back, on a road with a 35 mph speed limit but a bazillion signals. That's why I got a convertible. I won't go fast, but I'll enjoy the drive more.

I expect the Ram will have mostly highway miles, especially since we got it to pull our new trailer. And winter bad weather miles.

I can work from home on bad weather days. I don't mind the driving, but I do mind getting stuck onthe highway for 3 hrs trying to get home at <5mph.

Just ordered (4) Kicker 6x9’s for the doors and (2) kicker 3.5’s for the front corners. Also have a set of 1/4” spacers coming for the 6x9’s to fit the front doors.

Change your CV axle they said...its easy they said.
If i wouldnt have cut the CV shaft off, it would have never came off. Tried a dent puller on vise grips, pryed on it, said eff It and cut it off with a 6” wafer wheel on a grinder. Then cut the shaft horizontally in two halves with a 1” cutoff wheel on a dremel.
Even the completely cut halves would not come off. I had to wail on a chisel and a 4# mini sledge, yell at the neighbor, kick the trash can, scream obsenitys, and FINALLY the halves came off!!!
The Circlip was completely rusted to the the CV axle half shaft. If I wouldnt have cut them, they would have never came off.
So if you have a stubborn CV shaft, save yourself the time, and just cut them off.

Over the weekend we took our 1500 down to the Portland area and back; at 410 miles it's the longest trip since we bought it in April. I am impressed the 5.7 Hemi averaged 21.0 mpg in heavy traffic going south, and then 20.2 at 75 mph+ coming back. Even with three adults aboard and our stuff for the weekend trip.
Computer or hand calced?

Put this Solo Performance Straight Pipe bolt in, sounds mean. The drone is okay, not terrible at all, took it on a 300 mile trip and the benefit of it was one, I got 2mpg more than I did on the first 300 miles, and two, the rumble puts my daughter right to sleep. It used to on my Charger, and we are happy its back! It was a straight forward install, however the 19k miles Ive put on the truck did show when trying to get these nuts and muffler off. Geeze. But for sub 200 bucks, its a winner. Will post a review sometime soon as I have seen zero other people with this.View attachment 131320

The Alpine doesn’t sound bad for stock, especially compared to stock system’s past but trust me, pretty much whatever you went with, will sound much better than stock.
