Yeah I can't stand it. I was going to go back and take the resonators out but then I decided on doing a full cat back system.

I'm glad it's not just me then. I'm debating on doing a resonator delete and throwing a nice muffler in. Right now I'm muffler delete and resonators are still there.

If I didnt purchase my cat back I definitely would have went back to the shop to remove the resonators.

Do you notice the exhaust leak sound coming from the weeping holes in the resonators? I hate it. Sounds awful until it's warmed up

Since the muffler swap I notice the “exhaust leak”. I never noticed it with the stock muffler though. I’ll probably plug them up and if they rust out I’ll delete the resonators then.

I noticed the sound with the stock muffler but not near as bad. I will probably be welding the holes closed this weekend. I'll let you know if that cleans the sound up

Just watched the TFL Truck video on the Mopar accessory video for the 5th gen. When they showed the cat back it had weep holes on the resonators.

They said everything would be available when trucks hit the show room [emoji23] except the ram rack and intake.

I disconnected my ANC and you can really hear the muffler in cab now. That may be the reason for the sound difference in the 4th and 5the gen.

I'm doing a reso delete today as well. I want to see if it cleans up the exhaust sound. If it ends up being too loud then I'll throw a nice muffler on next week. But right now with the muffler delete and the resonators still intact I can't get over that terrible exhaust leak sound from the weep holes. I'll let everyone know how it turns out

I hope you saved the resonators, or have a muffler lined up.

Lol disconnect your ANC and see how loud the cab is. My simple swap really improved after that.

I do think these things lug around in low rpm too much.

That's the way I like it. I ordered the Carven Competitor catback, ready for it to get here.

Hi Guys,
Has anybody installed the new Magna Flow cat back system for the 2019's. I had a Magna Flow muffler on my 2016 Ram and it sounded awesome. Especially when you put your foot down. This new cat back system looks interesting. Some feed back would be great.

As far as I know one person is having it installed today. It literally just hit availability. Give it a week and there should be some more info.

I have kept the factory muffler and resonators but I think I'm going to try and find a nice muffler to put in and leave the resonators out. If I don't end up liking that sound I'll order the carven cat back kit

Sounds good...will be great to get some feed back. I'm starting to look around for pricing. It looks like a pretty solid set up.
Thanks for responding.
Cheers.

Can't wait to hear your feedback on this. With my muffler and resonators deleted it's way to loud. I think it'll be a nice happy medium with the carven kit

Looking for opinions on how much the stock exhaust noise at the tailpipe will go up with deleting just the resonators. Would like my Rebel to be a little louder at the tailpipe without increasing the interior noise. Had an 18” magnaflow on my ‘14 and don’t want the interior noise and drone of that. Maybe looking for what the 24” magnaflow would sound like, a little louder than stock.

I personally have tried a few different variations. I started by just deleting the factory muffler and left the resonators intact. That was a very subtle exhaust change. Absolutely no drone in the cab at all. These 5th gens do a much better job at keeping the cab quiet. The only downside of deleting the muffler was the sound of the exhaust going through the weeping holes on the resonators.

For now until we actually have companies releasing full cat backs, I’m feeling I’m solely going to do the Carven 5” tips. I know as it sounds now my truck sounds like crap when I have my windows down, and the MDS kicks in. Yes I know it’s not a “ swap “at all but after my current experience with Magnaflow I’ll wait for other options.
