It looks like you live in Pa. Contact these guys, https://www.lemonlaw.com/pa-lemon-law.html
I used them for my '14 Ram. It won't cost you anything, even if you lose your case. They have a very high success rate, I think 90 or 95%.
If you do get a buy back, the only deduction in my case was for a mileage allowance. They use the truck mileage at the date of the 1st service for your problem.

Perhaps, although my dad has a 2019 Sierra Denali and the problems are minimal compared to mine. That being said I’d still much prefer the RAM to the GMC but if my ownership experience doesn’t improve I don’t see how I could purchase another FCA product.

I don't see how you would want to keep it. Lemon law it and get another truck. Sorry to hear of so many problems-it happens, on all brands and all years although 1st year runs are riskier.

I really don’t want to keep it. I’m giving FCA this week to send the rep to look and they said it’s possible they might decide to swap it on their own. If they don’t, I’m starting with lemon law. Sent all of my documentation to an attorney already and I’ll tell them to proceed if FCA doesn’t do right by me. You’d think it would cost FCA less to just swap it and with less aggravation.

Plus it’s also doing this! Can’t believe I found another user who was able to duplicate this noise but it’s been driving me crazy and the dealer can not diagnose and thinks I’m imagining it.

I filed in May '15. Sometime in Sept '15 I received a call from the lawyers saying Chrysler was going to buy back my truck. There was supposed to be an inspection and drive by Chrysler, but that never happened. I think there was enough documentation from me and the dealer that they bypassed that part.
The actual buy back didn't happen until 1/16. I ordered my current truck in early Dec '15 because I knew the final settlement date was close. I had both trucks for a coupe of weeks. My '16 is a 180 from the '14 in every way.
I think you should file unless FCA will agree to take back your truck now, given all of the issues you are having. Make your next truck the 'Classic'.

If they made a Classic in Laramie trim I’d be on board.....

So at the end of the day, they didn't just swap your truck, they simply purchased it back from you and then you bought a new one as if you were a customer walking into a dealership off the street that had to negotiate again and deal with current promotions, etc? If they're going to make me go through that again, then no thank you. At that point I'll probably buy a Ford or GM product. For me to stay in an FCA vehicle after this nonsense they have to make it somewhat painless on their own accord....like swap my vehicle and keep my current financing deal so I don't have to start over at 60 months. I've read of some people having that done, but not sure how frequent or how difficult.

I get affiliate pricing so nothing to negotiate, 1% under invoice plus any available incentives. I was made whole on the '14 except for a very small allowance for the mileage. I think the 1st service occurrence was @ 750 miles. The Lifetime warranty I bought was prorated and I received a check for most of what I paid for it.
The bad thing with the buyout was the 12% price increase in the 20 months I owned it. The exact same truck would have been 4500 more. I went from the 3.6 to the Hemi. That added more $ but it is worth it in the driving experience.
On Big Horn Classic model, you can order the Katzkin Leather Seats as a $1400 option. That would get you close to a Laramie trim. You just wouldn't have a power passenger seat.

I get Affiliate Pricing as well as GM Supplier Discount, but I wound up getting even a little bit more off that price. I really hope FCA just offers to swap though, as I don't really want to go through all the legal nonsense and keep driving this with problems for another 6 months.

FWIW, I'm having a similar problem with the brakes on my '17 Big Horn. When warm, and especially hot, they squeal like crazy at medium pressure, mostly as pressure is being released rather than applied. Makes me nuts when I'm out with my pop-up.

Maintenance schedule says a complete brake inspection is due at 20k, and I'm just over 17k. Hopefully I'll get it resolved then.

There needs to be more attention to quality control from the factory and outsourced parts. Too much emphasis on fancy electronics.

I got my 2019 RAM 1500 Laramie in December. Right from the day I took delivery, I've had issues. 30 minutes after leaving the dealer, I realized the passive unlock on the passenger front door didn't work. Took it back to the dealer a few days later, which was over and hour away and they discovered it was missing a magnet from the factory in the door handle....they ordered the part and scheduled me with a dealer close to my home as a favor. Turned out, they ordered the incorrect part after diagnosing it correctly, so after sitting at the next appointment for 2 hours, I was told I'd have to come back. 3rd time, right part...that problem was fixed after a month with it.

From day 1, my brakes squealed under medium pressure and still haven't stopped. They also groan like Chewbakka when backing up after my truck sits over night. These issues still haven't been fixed and the dealer told me they ordered a TSB parts kit that won't be in until some time in July. My wife is furious because it's really annoying to go anywhere in my truck with screeching brakes, and it's an expensive vehicle that nobody wants to ride in.

I've had a vibration in the floor and steering wheel since the first day. Wheels have been balanced, and the last time my truck was in they didn't even look at it...they said they'd get to it when the brake parts come in. I have to drive it for another month this way!

The hood fluttered up and down at highway speeds. Finally fixed from a TSB.

My drivers side ventilated seat icon showed as off at the middle setting on the UConnect screen. Took two days of software updates and fiddling for the dealer to figure it out after filing a STAR case.

I have a high pitched whine intermittently on the highway that sounds like I'm driving over a bridge grate. Finally ascertained that it seems to be coming out of the speakers??? It switches rapidly from left to right and only between 70 and 80mph. Again, super annoying and impossible for me to show the dealer.

Passenger side front and rear doors were not flush with each other or the body from day 1. Was told by Dealer 1 that I'd have to live with it. Dealer 2 says "we can fix that" and adjusts it. I pick it up and the front passenger side door barely opens and you have to really slam it to shut it. When my wife tried to get out of the car, she couldn't open the door until I got out and opened the rear door first. Dealer says bring it back at lunch one day. Service manager adjusts it himself and doesn't even write up an RO. Two days later....back to the same thing....front and rear doors are binding. At this point it's been fixed twice. Last time it was in, they promised me it would be fixed, and it was for about a week. Now it's back to sticking again which means the front passenger door is loose. This sure seems like a safety issue.

Today, I go out to my truck and put my 2 year old son in his car seat. I start backing out of the driveway and my son starts yelling to me. There's water pouring in over him out of the headliner!! It rained overnight, but not even a bad storm. Upon looking at it closer, I see that the rear window frame has a crack in it!! Now my wife will not put my kids in my truck at all, and we're expecting our third by the end of next week. I cannot have a newborn baby in the back seat with water pouring in on him if it rains. My wife is also concerned about mold in the headliner that has now been saturated, and it's right where the rear curtain airbag is, so that can't be good either.

I called the dealer at 745am, the service write is apologetic, but doesn't know what to do. He said he thought the brake squealing was fixed and the TSB parts were for the groaning in reverse. He doesn't know what to say about the water and window frame and simply told me to call FCA. Big help!

I emailed the service writer, service manager, Mike Manley (CEO of FCA) and Reid Bigland (Head of Ram Brand). Dealer responded that I'd hear from them by the end of the day, and of course....nothing.

I really like driving my truck, but it turns out mine was a very early production unit that happens to have a lot of issues and more keeps popping up. At this point all I want is FCA to swap it with an equivalent more recent build that doesn't have all these issues. I'd love for it to be amicable, but I suppose I'll have to get attorneys involved. What a horrendous customer experience. :-(

I agree 100%. I also bought an early 2019 Laramie and have had multiple issues with it. I bought mine in July of 2018. My brakes also squeaked one month after purchasing the truck. Took truck to dealer and service guy said that was normal. After other things going wrong and taking it back to the dealer I also mentioned it again and this time they replace the rotors and brake pads. Was fine for a few months and brakes squeak again. I also have had issues where the tailgate does not open. Have taken it back three different times and still cannot fix. The latest excuse was ordering a part that is on backorder and still waiting to get my tailgate to open. You have to force the tailgate and squeeze the handle to get it to unlock and open. The AC fan under the driver's seat was making a loud rattling noise. Showed the service guy and he agreed. But after having my car for multiple days I picked it up and he said the service mechanic could not repeat the sound so they could not fix it. Eventually it kept doing it and I took it back in and finally they fixed it. The sliding back window was also bad. The power wire that connects to it that works the defrost, was broken off. They said it was one part with the window and they would have to order a new window but they don't have parts yet cuz truck was so new. In the end they just epoxied it back on cuz they did not want to order a new window and go through everything to change it. The newest issue is the driver side folding rear mirror. When the button is clicked the driver side has a delay when the passenger side is already closed. The driver side rear mirror keeps clicking and making noise after it's already closed. Best one is a spot on the passenger rear door that was not painted from the factory. I own a black truck and this is a dime-sized white spot on the door. And the dealer keeps giving me a run around about clearance and needing to set up a time with the body shop and just keep getting the runaround. It's been a year already and I still have a white spot on the side of a black truck. Now issues with Uconnect screen. I have the 12 inch display and when I call someone on my favorites list from my phone their image ends up popping up on three or four other people's names. Nobody can seem to figure it out they say it's a connectivity issue with the phone and Uconnect yet I have a new Samsung Android phone and a new truck. The response is wait for an upgrade. It's been a year already!

Dude, I would be extremely frustrated as you and your wife, especially with the kids in play here. I wish you well and hopefully they take good care of you.

Thanks, I’ll hopefully hear something today. One way or another we’ll have a newborn by this coming Saturday and I really don’t need this headache. The ironic part is that we bought this truck because it’s one of the few vehicles that can comfortably fit 3 child seats across that’s not a mini van. When we found out my wife was pregnant we specifically got it for this purpose and now it’s turning into a nightmare. It sucks because I love owning a truck.

Sorry to hear all the BS you are going thru. That seems the way most companies are going these days...they take your money..then don't care about you!
There is no way squealing brakes are normal ! Try another dealer !

Did they make you keep your truck until it was bought back or give you a loaner or????

Not sure how Ram handles things, but I had a Dodge dealer (back when that was a thing) buy my truck back, matching the provisions of the lemon law. My guess is they didn't want it recorded as a "lemon," so they avoided it by simply purchasing it without making me go through the lemon law process. Have to admit, they were somewhat unusual in that they seemed to be genuinely trying to take care of the truck's issues while I owned it, and they didn't give my grief about buying the truck back. It may have been their idea, even.

This is in contrast to the horrific dealer and corporate experience I had with another domestic manufacturer that I will never buy another vehicle from again.
