Pep Boys has a short rubbery type that fits perfectly. Have ones on both RAMs. Work great.

When I had my 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan, I tried hard to find a cheap (2-3$) short antenna who fit on it and all single antenna I purchased on eBay or AliExpress, that claims to be compatible with Grand Caravan ended to be a totally different thread size/type on all included adapters... So when I purchased my RAM, I tried the few antennas I already have in hand to conclude that the RAM's antenna is identical to the Grand Caravan (makes sense).

So I decided to give it a last try where I purchased a short antenna on AliExpress with clear indication "FIT RAM 1500/2500/3500 2009-2018" but guess what... same **** again!! Please see what I mean, the width of the stud are pretty much the same, but the thread are much smaller/thinner. IMO it looks like the thread from the RAM antenna is metric and the thread from the Chinese antenna is SAE (imperial).

I definitely don't want to pay 20-25$ for a CravenSpeed antenna or something like that, so did anybody actually purchased a cheap short antenna that really works on a RAM with the correct stud thread??? If yes, please post auction/page URL :)
I tried many of them and they all sucked for radio reception! I really only use Sirius but hey why have an antenna if it doesn’t work right ! I finally found one that looks great and has perfect reception. 2017 Dodge Dart antenna you can thank me later.

Got a rubber Stubby, FM ok, no AM reception, so only screw it in when going through carwash.

I work for Dodge as a tech in the used car department. I have tried about every make and model of aftermarket short antenna. What I found that works the best (FM reception) and is still short without wind noise is the factory antenna off the Ram Promaster Van. It is about 17 inches tall.

Love the look of this. EBay for about $10. Don't have to worry about snow removal or removing it at car wash. Also I only use Sirius XM do not sure about radio.

Mr. Stubby. Reception blows, but I don’t listen to the radio. Don’t have to worry about the garage and car washes now.

Not recommended if you listen to allot of radio. Reception is terrible.

That's a great idea. Thanks for the information. Does it screw on just like the oem one too? I don't like the super short ones, this size is great

I have tried three different short antennas from Amazon. Look and fit great but reception on all of them stunk. I'm back to the factory antenna.

Same boat here. I'm approximately 30 miles from the city. Although I primarily listen to Pandora, I can't pick up FM channels when I want them with short antenna's.

Interesting. I may give this a shot. Hopefully it holds up through my car wash. Thanks for posting!

That antenna is a different thread than the factory Ram antenna. Was looking forward to having that on since it’s pretty short and looks factory. Waste of $20

Real simple folks...antenna theory and the electronics in your radio says physical length of the antenna needs to be the stock length. Rubber duckie style is a coil of wire near the proper length if you were to pull it out of the plastic. All of these choices are bad for reception. The old pull up styles of years gone by were even better. Don't like the looks? Don't ***** about your crappy reception!

I really haven’t seen anybody ********. Mostly just showing the options they’ve used to replace the ugly stock antenna, and being honest that the reception isn’t great so as not to mislead anyone into thinking they can put on a short antenna without compromising the radio quality.

Questions about this Ram Promaster Van OEM antenna. I bought one online, good deal only for $11 bucks. But when I tried to screw it on the threads width is smaller than the OEM tall antenna. Basically it won't screw on all the way down. Is there a trick that you did to get it to screw on or do they made different Promaster Van antennas? Basically the space between the threads on the promaster antenna is smaller than the space between the threads on the ram truck antenna. I like the look of it but want it to fit correctly. Thanks
