I plan on doing that as well When i get time. Did you just snap the clips off?
I used a small pair of needle nose pliers to wedge up on both sides under the top but the whole piece is snapped in to the above trim. I did the 4 bolts first, leaving the 2 outside loose so the back wouldn’t fall stressing the clips, removed the press in clips with the pliers but was still firmly attached every other connection between the press in tacks slides in & clicks had to use a small chisel to release each one from the inside started on one side and gently pushed as I worked across to the other side. I was by myself so used a small box to hold the end I started on, still shocked none of the clips broke!

And got my new calipers on. Painted them first with G2 caliper paint. Really like it so far. I'm sure these will be a pain to keep clean lol.

And another shot of the tow hooks I added. Painted then with the G2 caliper paint as well, I'll see how well it holds up.

I did not remove the axle to do the parking brakes. It was a bit of a pain, but definitely doable. A long nose locking plier is a necessity. And patience lol.

Got my new to me heavy duty springs installed in the rear. Gave an inch of lift (was hoping for 2”) but so far with drywall and plywood it’s barely squatted. The springs are almost twice the thickness as stock springs. Those stock springs are a joke IMO

Took Phatty to get the lower balljoints installed, fresh alignment, and a tire repaired... Might be just me, but the steering is definitely tighter and more direct. Got some questions about what’s next, but I’ll put those in my build thread and/or suspension section.

Used it to haul 27 blocks, 3 caps, and 3 bags of mortar. Adds up to just under 1300lbs in the bed. Handled it very well which is good cause I didn’t add up the weight til I got home from Lowe’s lol

So I picked up my front bumper yesterday from getting painted and it was pouring rain so I quickly wrapped it in plastic and strapped it into the bed of my truck and last night I got to look at it and the paint is HORRIBLE! There’s clear coat missing in half the bottom lip, there is huge pinhead marks all over from dust and dirt being trapped underneath, it’s seriously ****** up. So now I have to bring it back and ***** and complain until they fix it properly.

I ordered these led lights on eBay to replace the amber ones on my grille

Will be replacing these

Still waiting on my Phoenix Automotive 12.1” Tesla Style screen. I ordered it 36 days ago and it still hasn’t shipped. This company is complete **** and is the worst company I’ve ever witnessed. It’s a **** show, customer service is a joke and will get mad at you and give you attitude and be extremely rude. It’s literally been 36 days since I placed my order and still yesterday nobody could give me a straight answer as to when my radio will ship. It’s complete f’n bulls**t man.... nobody should ever buy from this company ever.
